Carbon Centurion on eBay. 9 hours left and the bid is still reasonable.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...#ht_500wt_1182

The shipping is kind of high, so if there are any Centurion aficionados out there in NC who can swing a local pickup, it might not be a bad deal.

Dan, the point of my post is that I'm not interested in the bike. But, I had to click on the link to see what you found.

If you had posted even just the name of the bike in your post, we would have known what the bike was first.

That, and that the photos will often stay posted long after an auction has finished or after a CL ad has been pulled. So, copying the text and inserting the photos can leave us nice "evidence" long after the fact. The nicest posts are generally gone very quickly.

Here's one for you Pinarello/Campy fans, although the lack of photo is a bit worrisome. I'm stuck at work (as usual), so I cannot facilitate:

Pinarello Columbus Pantographed Campagnolo - $600 (Edgewater)

Reply to: xxx@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

49cm Pinarello frame Columbus aelle steel
Campy Pinarello panto shifters/stem/seatpost/cranks
you can part this out for nearly $600 and keep the frame/wheelset for your fixie.
Frame decals are rough.

Raleigh Sprite 27 - $80

Reply to: sale-rbntr-1593239325@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Its a neat old bike, Needs some TLC. New Bontrager tires. Will trade for an older road bike / fixie or a pressure cooker in decent shape.

http://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/bik/1593239325.html

It's in Phoenix, AZ. Good quality pics. Obviously somewhat neglected but the finish looks to be in good condition - original stem, pinstriping, vinyl Brooks...

Since I have a penchant for old English bikes I emailed the seller, telling him that had I NOT just picked up a current project bike I'd be on his Sprite like a pack of dogs on a three-legged cat. He's really eager to sell, willing to make a deal. If anyone is looking for one, let me know.

Strange (at least to me) old Cinelli clipless pedals. Good luck finding the cleats for them. I like the seller's statement (he's Italian) "My opinion they perfect works."

And if you fall and hit the side of the pedal on the ground, it unclips from your cleat.

Ah, yes. The M-71 "Widowmaker" pedal.

Rather than a spring-loaded clamp, these use a sliding lever to lock the cleat in place. To unclip, you need to reach under the pedal and slide the lever to the open position. No mean feat on a fixed gear unless you do it while track-standing!

Vintage Miyata 912 Semi-Pro Racing Bicycle 1980's***CLICK HERE*** - $300 (San Jose)(Could this be your next FIXIE?)

Hi,

This could be one of your best finds on Craigslist!
Up for sale is a vintage 80's Miyata 912 Semi-Pro Road bike. I have had it for years and now it is time to part with it. The bike still rides great and is ready for you to ride.

For those unfamiliar with Miyata Bicycles, type "Miyata" in the Wikipedia website or on Sheldon Brown, they have great info on the bike.

The bike was designed and manufactured in Japan meeting strict company standards for quality. It was also made for those wanting to get into the racing scene as an entry-level road racer. Because of these qualities it was also highly reccomended as a Triathlon bike.

It comes with high quality splined TRIPLE BUTTED tubing. This makes it very strong, and since it is made with Chrome Molybdenum Steel, it is also a stable and supple ride.

The components are the high grade Shimano 600 for the cranks, brakes, and deuraillers.
Another plus is it has the RARE and sought after BIOPACE chainrings which enhance pedaling.
It is a 12 speed and is pretty light weight. Size wise it is 52cm. The color is Black.

It's in good condition and ready to ride or customize.

First person with $300 in cash takes this beauty.

Centurion - Ironman Dave Scott Expert - $225 (Duxbury, MA)

This is a 56cm road bike. I bought it new in 1993. I have used it approx 100 miles per year, some years no use. It is in fair to good condition cosmetically but runs very good. This is a road bike by today's standards but was marketed back in early 90's as a triathlon bike when the sport was getting popular. The bike has a bit of a cult following. Could be a collector piece someday It has Suntour GPX components. Look brand clip in pedals or use with adapter for regular shoes. I installed the aero bars. I am 5'8" and fits me well. Great bike for someone just starting biking or triathlon.

1969 Raleigh Sports Rare 9 Speed - $250 (Northwest Tucson)

This Raleigh has a Sturmey Archer 3 speed internal hub, but also has a 3 speed freewheel with a derailleur and a second shift lever mounted on the handlebar stem. I'm not sure whether the derailleur is original or not but it makes the bike very pleasant to ride, having a much wider range of gearing. The size is about 58-59cm and should fit a person between 5'11" and 6'1", though I can ride it comfortably with the seatpost up about 2" from frame and I'm 5'10". This bike is in exceptional condition throughout- It is British metallic green and white with gold pinstriping and has the original Brooks leather saddle and original headlamp ( It still works! ). Reply to Craigslist or call 520-304-8384.
