Kind of validates my decision to get mine a few years back, paid about half of that. I've since put on a 9 x 3 drivetrain and a set of Shimano bar ends. I've used this mostly for commuting.

If you're talking about the one with the lock ring that has 2 slots and is a total pita to keep tight, that is a Levin used on the Raleigh USAs. I don't think it is the same as this Centurion unless it's an alumnum version.

It could be a newer one like the Shadow Conspiracy Grande or the Primo Stevie, I don't ever recall seeing a tall conical shaped spacer; there were some BMX bikes with a tall conical shaped spacer but I can't remember if I saw those in the mid 80's or afterwards.

Thanks all. Looks like Tange Levin Aero indeed (or at least this is the headset I want). Perfect for a space-age build I'm planning for the odd Centurion I'm getting. Looks aluminum tho - Bikedued you think stainless?

I see from @Bikedued's links the bike did come stock with a Turbo seat @jetboy!

Edit: Ugh. Looks like a rare headset. None on eBay, one for $300 elsewhere. @plonz, you have one you can't stand?

Torpado Competition - 53-54cm - $600

No affiliation. I assume the Columbus sticker is Italian for "gas pipe," however it has nice components. The price might be a stretch, even with the Campy bits.

TORPADO COMPETITION 14 SPEED ROAD BIKE!!

This is not my size and I have no need for it at all, but I am still tempted to send an email and drive over and pick it up - right now. Somebody save me from temptation! Price is right for the campy gruppo and brooks alone.

Wow. That is a very special top of the line custom touring bike - with all the period gear still intact. I'd guess 1971 or so? At the time, this would have been comparable to the Rene Herse and Alex Singer touring bikes, which sell for ridiculous money now. Somebody should buy this thing and put it in a museum! I could ride this thing too, unfortunately, if willing to accept the very period French Fit.

Somebody please save it!

Really want one in 22"
Why do I love sloping crown forks on lugged frames but not lugged forks on tig welded?

VW Vanagon folks recognize Los Osos as the home of GoWesty, a specialist vendor of some repute in the Vanagon world. Any profits from the bike biz would undoubtedly be spent down the street.
