Abysmal photo- all I can make out is Nishiki logos on the fork blades, down tube, and seat tube. Does that connote a higher-end model? Graceful silhouette at least! I bet this is worth investigating.

I was curious and gave it a shot. A lady picked up and said it's an office number and she didn't know anyone selling a bike there, so a wrong number. Possible digit inversion in the number? It'd certainly explain why it's still up.

wow, my common sense flew out the window when tempted with something shiny. thanks for the sanity check!

Not sure if I've outed this Schwinn Volare here before, but the seller is starting to get the price down into a more reasonable range. I think he started around $1000. Now he's asking $800.
https://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/bik/6011356212.html It seems complete, though perhaps it's mostly apart. Can't tell from the photos. Here's a shot of the frame, fork, and wheels (why, oh, why, do I always get a broken image icon when posting images since the "upgrade"?): https://images.craigslist.org/00G0G_...L_1200x900.jpg |
Also on Chicago CL, a Schwinn Super Sport:

https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/bik/6000866302.html This guy has been trying to sell it for at least a year. He finally seems to have broken down and put it together. Previously, I don't think he was selling it with wheels. https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/bik/6000866302.html https://images.craigslist.org/00a0a_...1_1200x900.jpg |

It was a smaller frame, and there's certainly less of a market for 64cm frames. But still. |

A couple of this seller's listings have been posted here. His current listings are ending in a few hours. Check out this refinished Paramount. I think it's gorgeous. Too bad it's too small for me.

It absolutely KILLS me that I can't afford this right now as it is pretty much my dream bike, and it looks like my size :(. I really can't though, so I figured I'd pass it on to one of the many Centurion fans here.
I believe this is a Pro Tour for $300 shipped!!! http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/...psoi9qqkr5.jpg Centurion racing bike bicycle road 27 1 1/4 | eBay |
Here's a Motobecane Champion Team that's been outed here before. Price has dropped significantly since then. From personal experience in building one of these, I doubt you'll see one a whole lot cheaper than this. Shipping is reasonable as well. Not mine, no affiliation, etc.

Doesn't strike me as a very exciting project (Team USA with eyelets and kickstand?), but it might float someone's boat:
