Rear looks bigger. I know you're an experienced 'bent rider. So what are you saying, it'll be slow, won't it?

i'm just saying 12" wheels sounds crazy. A bigger wheel int he rear on a trike is normal, but that entire thing looks to be in small scale.

smaller wheels != slower, but that said I have no idea how that weird thing would ride. Kinda looks like one of those grasshopper lawnmowers, or whatever they're called.

It does look like more of a toy than a serious machine, but who knows. If I had $1000 as play money, I'd love to try it out.

I think the picture is misleading as the pump makes the headtube look shorter than it is but if there is enough space to fit a pump between the lugs on the head tube it can't be a 48.

A friend of mine bought one of these at the Madison, WI bike swap meet. He is known for buying unusual bikes. I think this one qualifies.

Professional shop construction. 52 cm (I believe). Flattened rear stays, teardrop front forks. Better craftsmanship than the typical racing Bianchi. Never crashed. Some Campy, Ofmega Mistral crank is worth the price alone--these are very rare!

This is a vintage Trek 414 roadbike, '81. 54cm. It is has rare Ishiwata CrMo 002 double butted tubing and an Avocet Condor Seat. In great working condition, but could use new tires. Hasn't been ridden in years. Will send pictures if you are interested.

I took it to the Trek store in Madison, WI and had them do their 200.00 ultrasonic cleaning/ tuneup. The whole bike is taken apart and ultrasonically cleaned, fame polished wheels trued, everything re-greased...ect. I also had them put on new cables and cable housing as well as bar tape. Originally the cable housing and bar tape were white. New tires and tubes were intsalled. Total cost was a little over 300.00. . It recieved a couple paint nicks in storage over the years and I had trek touch them up with a perfectly matched color, you dont even notice them. It looks amazing , the paint shines like new. I put 13 miles on it before I decided its just a little big for me. I did buy a new Selle Italia seat for 144.00 , I stupidly did not save the old seat, mostly because seats have come so far over the years that I would have never used the original, everything else however is original except tires, tape and cables. Shipping 65.00 in Continental USA only. Feel free to ask any questions, thanks for looking. This is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Standover height is a little over 31". toptube c-c is 22 "and the seat tube c-c is 21.5 "."

Anybody remember this from page 346?
The seller closed his CL ad and put the bike on eBay....
Long story short...I now own the Trek. Pick it up tomorrow.
I hope that $200.00 ultrasonic cleaning/ tuneup looks as good as it sounds.
