Reply to: sale-g6u5w-2361094085@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
Early 90's vintage Serotta Columbus steel handmade lugged frame with full Dura Ace gruppo (even seatpost), all in excellent condition.

Size is 61cm seat tube x 58.5cm top tube, both measured center to center. Will fit a person approx. 5ft 11in to 6 ft 3in, depending on your body proportions.

Black metallic paint with yellow accents. Cinelli stem w/Serotta logo. Internal top tube cable routing. Sew ups w/ Mavic rims. Flite Titanium saddle.

Really cool, top quality bike. No damage, rust, etc.

Not many left like this one. Rides like a dream. Would be a great Pan Mass rider this summer
Email if interested, and for more pics. Thanks for looking.

Haha, this totally didn't catch my eye. That lone bidder on this one was totally lucky.

He upped his bid and the snipers never showed.

I replied about 15 minutes after that Merckx went up, had some correspondence, but it was sold out from under me, or someone else was quicker. Maybe someone offered more than 10?

So let's stick with it being a department store rebrand...

I have a used 54cm Cannondale 3.0 series criterium aluminum road bike made in the USA 8 speed in good condition scratches here and there from locking the bike against poles, fences etc etc you get the idea from riding in the city, I don't have a camera phone nor a camera, so email to setup a time to meet. The bike color and the way it look is similar to the picture and with the cannondale lettering on the top tube not on the bottom tube like the picture. **The picture is not the actual bike but it looks almost identical to it.**

**PLEASE READ**

Looks like a low-end Falcon "Merckx". $10 was probably a fair price for it.

A beat up Madison.

Vintage 53cm Schwinn Madison Track Bike

Vintage Schwinn Madison track bike. Measures 53.5 cm c-t with a 53.5 c-c top tube. She has seen some miles and the paint is a little rough. See all of the pictures. Here are the specs:
  • Schwinn Madison from the late 1980's. 120mm spaced and drilled for brakes.
  • Sugino GLP fixed crank, 165mm
  • Hubs: Campy road freewheel suicide rear road. I wouldn't recommend skid-stopping on them. Front hub Sunrtour road high flange
  • Rims: Wolber Super Champion rear, Weinman front. Both clincher
  • Bar: SR Sake alloy crit style
  • Stem: SR Royal
  • Headset: Tange Falcon
  • Seatpost: SR
  • Saddle: Vintage Turbo
  • Pedals not included.
The Madison was the the first track bike you could buy at a good price at a shop. Own a little piece of history. Was used by a friend as a fixed-gear trainer for years. Will be packed and shipped by a bike shop.

Lightly used Cannondale R300 - $250 (Marlborough, MA)

Date: 2011-05-05, 10:55AM EDT
Reply to: sale-bzryd-2363841159@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
I have a white, Cannondale R300 entry-level racing bike (frame size of 58, wheel size of 700) circa 1998 which is (quite) lightly used. The last time I rode it it worked like a dream. Includes Kyptonite lock (feverishly looking for it's key), cats-eye bike computer (worked last time I tried), (mostly working) foot pump, small bag under saddle, water bottle and all standard components.

I'd like to find it a good home and give a good deal to someone who could really enjoy a good, solid bike. Cash only. Will only sell direct to buyer (ie, no middle-men). First emailed, first served.

Thanks,

Vintage, but excellent shape, 12 speed Club Fuji road bike with updated components. Classic because it was built around 1970, technology back then was for thinner frame tubes at the middle of the tube and thicker where tube entered the joint sleeve. Made from real steel, this technique actually kept weight down. It is not a heavy bike. Riden in 3 Trek Across Maine recently, this bike was well designed for road riding. Components included: new rear hub sprocket and chain, modern seat ( the original one was hard leather and really was not fun ) replaced brake cables, so they operate smoothly, brake pads recently replaced. No pedals included.
Overall, this would be a perfect college campus bike or commuter ride. Oh yeah, it does have a few blemishes of rust, yes it's gotten soaked and riden to work for the last two summers... it can be touched up with a red enamel bought at Home Depot.
Not the fancy, sexy bike you see anymore, but plenty of fellow riders have come up to me and commented on the old style shifter levers located on the down-tube, very retro design and simply effective. This bike will serve anyone that just needs a second bike or a simple strong first bike. Please look at the pictures. No, I will not ship it, arrangements can be made for Mon-Fri pickup only in the mid-coast. Price is firm, please don't plan on a bargain basement deal.
