73 Raleigh RRA-only 1 Picture from Sheldonbrown.com none of the one he has
Hi I have a Mint Condition RALEIGH RRA -this is probably the rarest Raleigh from the 70s as these bikes were actually raced in the Tour de France and only made for 1 year.
As much as I love the bike I would like to trade it for something newer either a carbon Road Bike or a Carbon 29er. This is a true Collector's bike.
The component group is the vaunted SIMPLEX Super LJ all stainless and alloy with Stronglight cranks. Regina cassette-all the bells and whistles. It was also the only year to feature the Weinman side pull brakes in black. The bike was completely restored by California Cycle Art-these are the same guys that painted the bikes for Masi and Confente back in the day, wonderful stuff. I purchased the bike from a man in California whose brother raced the bike in the 70s. This makes me technically the 3rd owner in almost 40 years.
If you have the cash and want to buy it out right make me an offer. (208) 860-7196
Serious buyers and inquires only please. Respond via email and I will get back to you with pics.
Here is a link about the bike on Sheldon Browns website. See white race bike at bottom of page, mine is in better condition. Thanks
Italian and Brit steel on eBaY and Simplex forkend frame
A French frame with what looks like a fake Reynolds decal and real ones which can probably be searched "1710gr" and Saronni Colnago and a bunch of Treviso's, as well as a Mink Raleigh, mebbe two Mink Raleighs. Not that I like eBaY with its customer no-service.
Duueuwde if you're going to put my quick replies out of context, maybe I could make it germane by admitting I am looking for one of those, preferably a consistent meter or two faster.
Nice Trek 400. $175 Price is about right for this area.
Note: if it's an 18-speed it's a 400T...

Red color, good condition, Expect to post photos soon.
I have given this little use. New tires with almost no miles. As far as I recall its all original,
No dings or dents. Paint is good. Some scratches.Seat is good.
frame is 25" - from middle of crank to top of stem for seat post
Feel free to call with any questions 914-954-xxxx
Posting will be removed once bike is sold.
C.H. notes: sounds like an '88 400T "sports touring" bike. The 400T came with the triple chainring. From the area code and exchange it sounds like it's in the Yonkers area.

Here is a gorgeous Klein Mantra Comp full supension cross country race bike. I think it's a medium...like a big 18...or maybe a large. The bike is just beautiful, both mechanically and aesthetically. No dings or dents. No real scrapes or bruises. Everything works perfectly. Shocks rebuilt. XTR rear and XT brakes upgrade. If you wanted a Mantra - and I am guessing you did if you are looking at this ad - you will not likely find another one as nice as this.

No relations, blah, blah, blah ....
Very nice 60's or 70's Puch Waffenrad. This bike was made in Austria and has a bit of a cult following. Wonderful condition. Great fun to ride!
Front rod break (does not work very well but looks super cool)
Beautiful lug construction
Painted and pinstriped wheels.
This just popped on the local CrList, for you P-Bike lovers out there! 1973 Peugeot Triahtlon
That had be scratching my head too. NOT good marketing telling how much you paid for something when trying to flip it. I like the guy who is trying to sell or barter his 89 Cannondale, his $1500 bike, listing no selling price, dirty from storage and needs tires, make an offer. I should offer him a 1989 Macintosh Computer worth $2500 (in 1989) and see if he bites!
VERY Classic, WAY out of my reach at $1,950 (and it needs work! But not a lot, looks very clean)

Scapin Atec Italian racing frameset, circa 1980's Price: $500
Columbus SLP tubing, 59 (c-c) cm seat tube, 57 cm top tube, barely ridden, Excellent condition. This is a beautiful bike. Campy drops, chrome fork and seat stays. Somewhat rare find in the USA.
Here is some info about Scapin if you are not familiar.....
"For the past 42 years, Scapin has built bicycles by hand. They pride themsleves in their engineering software, CICLOCAD, enabling them to best optimize the sections, the diameters and the reinforcements of their tubes - achieved in strict collaboration with COLUMBUS steel. Each one of their frames is accompanied along its production cycle by two schemes produced from their information system; one defining the geometry, the other indicating the quotes for setting up the machines during the manufacturing. The soldering is done by hand and manually refinished. All of their frames are internally varnished, observing strict criteria in the safeguard of the environment. The first in the world to introduce a special anti-corrosion treatment called A.W.P., a protective treatment whose aim is to make the stainless steel frames resistant with time to corrosion and to rust, externally and internally. A.W.P. (All Weather Proof) is in reality a triple process composed of zinc-nickel plating, phosphoric treatment and finally of a "black electrophoresis".
