Well they just accepted my best offer, so I'll be in the market for 24" tires. I hope it takes something that is available - I understand there are like three different "24 inch" tire sizes.

Raleigh Sport 3speed 1973 Excellent condition

Seems like a lot of odd bikes offered in Tucson lately, anyway - another; no connection to the seller.

[h=2]Vintage 1984ish Basso 3 Men's Road Bike 21 inch 53-54CM Frame Bicycle - $500 (Danvers MA)[/h]

Date: 2012-05-18, 12:21PM EDT
Reply to: kwnhb-3009319988@sale.craigslist.org [SUP][Errors when replying to ads?][/SUP]

I have an excellent shaped, vintage Basso model 3, that probably dates to 1984 or so (serial # 410048). Really a lightweight ride for the era. The sticker on the seat post tube is partially missing, so I can't quite make out the material - "Columb---" and a few other words? Approximate measurements 21" Frame/53.5CM from center of pedal mount to top of where the seat post fits in; 30 1/2" standover, 21 1/2" top tub (end to end), Durace shifters, Shimano 600 Brakes & Pedals, Shimano 105 Deraileur, Awesome Mavic MA 40 Rims; Trek tires. I WILL NOT PART OUT THIS BIKE, sorry. A classic, head turner that has always been stored indoors. This survivor was built to last; Priced to move. Why settle for less? You Will Love This Ride. PLEASE reply with your phone number, so I will know that you aren't an email phisher.... I might be able to show it during the Day in Danvers, if Gloucester is too far for you.

Buy Local - Buy Used! Stick it to the corporations. Let's all help do our part to tell the like of Goldman Sachs to shove it.

I Like to Barter- I may consider partial trades for old US coins or old/scrap/broken/ugly gold or platinum jewelry; olde Sterling Silverware; but Cash is King; Unless you have some cool trades, my price is firm.

Thanks for looking; craigslist rules!

For sale is a 1990 custom made time trial bike. The frame was hand made by Toby Stanton of Hot Tubes fame. I competed on this bike for a few years back in the 90's. It is a 53 CM frame and is complete with a low mileage Ultegra road group, 26 inch bladed spoke front wheel, 1985 Ambrosio disc, Vision bars etc. There are a lot of trick parts on the bike and it has an interesting history, as it was riden to a top finish by Roberto Gaggioli of the Coors Light racing team. He borroed my bike and got into hot water for not using team equipment.
The frame and all parts are in excellent condition. The disc is tired but looks good. If I were to ever race on this bike I would want a modern light weight wheel.

Synergy RB-2 Racing Series road bike with very low use. Honestly, I have put maybe 50 miles on this bike in 10 years. The bike is in great shape and ready to get on the road or track. 22" frame.

1992 Bridgestone RB-1 53cm Bicycle - $450 (Seal Beach)

All original minus Ritchey stem. Shimano 600 tri-color group, Dia-Compe BRS300 brakes. Specialized deep drop bars, SR seat post, original Ritchey Vantage wheels in great shape, fairly new Armadillo tires. Never crashed, shows normal wear. Ready for restoration. The real deal.

Cancerous '89 PICS Team Custom on San Diego Craigslist again.... I was initially in touch with the owner trying to buy it the first time around. It magically came back to Craigslist just a few days after the owner decided he wanted to hang on to it a bit longer (or so he told me after viewing my web site. ha!). I guess a few days was long enough. Coincidentally, it is now priced $100 higher than before. The seller told me at had a little rust before but it wasn't bad... from the photos I'm very glad I didn't buy it for $185 after all. He won't ship or take PayPal though so you'll have to be local.

1970s vintage Competition, 23" Made in Carleton England. No rust or dings, just worn paint. This is a classic, quality club racer that would make sweet fixie or restoration. Used as commuter with fat tires and still fast and light. $300 No emails, call if interested. 617 before 8pm . Thanks.

This looks bigger than a 53 to me.

I think that bike has been re-listed several times. I bought one of those new, then had to sell it within a few weeks. It's a fairly heavy bike, which is why it probably hasn't sold.
It's sad, really. Think of the thousands of 'Mart bikes that will be bought today, and for the same price or less a quality bike could be had.

Really? I hadn't noticed it in the past; if he's got the rest of the original parts then it might make a solid commuter for someone in our area!

There has been a run of older bike shop quality bikes lately... one of those would make a great starter for someone instead of a Big Box bike!

I would buy that is wouldn't cost me another $100 to get it packed and shipped. It might make a nice replacement for my Grizzly

There has been a run of older bike shop quality bikes lately... one of those would make a great starter for someone instead of a Big Box bike!
I got my Stumpy from a guy who was "upgrading" to a brand new full suspension bike from a big box. He dropped the price without me asking because the stumpy was "trash". Aside from needing tires, there wasn't anything wrong with it.
I see the same thing with people starting out in astronomy. They'll turn their noses up at an 8" dobsonian because the 'Mart telecope can do 1200x.

Up for sale is a pristine Bianchi "Limited" racing bike. This model is a rare find, as most Bianchi's are made in Italy, but a small batch of them (this one included) were made in Japan, which are considered some of the best Bianchi's ever made.

Frame is all steel and 56cm. Comes with a San Marco Ponza seat, Shimano 600 brakes, and new tires/innertubes. I've attached a bunch of pictures so you can see the condition in detail. Notice that the only flaw is a slight nick on the seat.

If interested, email and I can send over more or higher resolution pictures. Local pickup only.
