Vintage Mongoose ATB MTB Mountain Tourer Frameset Frame Fork - $120 (Mpls )[/h]Super cool 19"-20" frame, chrome. Very good condition, straight, good chrome, no damage or trauma. Did I say cool already? Front (lowrider) and rear rack mounts, and all the braze-ons everywhere else.

Regrettably letting this go. $120 firm.

I was tempted myself, but have too many projects already and it's a bit too big for me. If you want/need a local facilitator, just let me know how I can help.

I used to live there, have no idea what's wrong with people in that little area. It appears that there's some sort of entitlement mindset at work in this uber-wealthy burg which transcends reason.

[h=2]Cannondale r400 frame + fork 58cm - $180 (Humboldt Park)[/h]

1994 Cannondale r400 58cm. I purchased this a few months ago on eBay. Includes all pictured items - seat post, fork, headset and really nice Prima drop bars. All aluminum and extremely lightweight. This frame has a gorgeous graphite paint job that reflects a carmel-y brown color in direct sunlight. The serial number is clean and I can provide it by request. Any other questions, feel free to ask!

20K for a bike eh? Does anybody find it ironic that it's held to the ceiling by 3 dollars worth of chain and it's security is a 10 dollar bike lock from wal mart?

[h=2]steel bike custom richard sachs tubing & Dura Ace-New Ultegra 10 speed - $950[/h]

Great lugged steel frame, carbon fork bike for single speed or road riding. Frame was custom made in California by a well know builder using traditional geometry similar to the inglis, and sachs bikes built for rapha. Really a do everything bike. The steel is Columbus spirit for lugs by Sachs with some Dedacciai mixed in. A very light, responsive and fairly stiff frame and fork. Mechanically, bike is in near new condition.

***New Ultegra 6600 10 speed shifters.*** Dura Ace 10 speed 7800 rear derailleur, front derailleur. Ultegra 6600 cassette 12-25, crank and brakes. Dura Ace 7800 chain.
DT Swiss RR1.1 rims, DT swiss double butted spokes, and Dura Ace 7800 10 speed hubs. Fizik arione saddle and tompson seatpost, Syntace racelight bar and stem, cane creek S6 headset.

Frame is somewhat sloping and is a size medium. Weight with keo carbon pedals, is less than 18 lbs. Bike was just tuned, with new cables and housings installed. New chain installed and the ultegra 6600 shifters are brand new. Can provide LBS receipt for this work & components performed this month.

Interesting that the stock Dura-Ace SIS rear derailleur has been replaced by a Campy Nuovo Record.

I agree, and the front looks like Campagnolo also, yet the ad doesn't mention it at all. It's possible that the seller borrowed the photos from elsewhere...

It's possible that the bike(s) for sale have nothing much in common with the photo and model shown. It might be that if someone were to inquire about the specific bike in the ad the seller would sadly inform you that the bike has been sold...but he does have something very similar that he is ALSO selling but hasn't listed yet...

It's a common ruse used by CL thieves. Bait and switch makes it almost impossible for theft victims to find their bikes being listed when they never actually post pictures or descriptions of the actual stolen bikes they are selling.

Raleigh International with odd parts and bent fork in Reno: $145

It'd be worth it for the parts and the frame/fork might be salvageable in the right hands.

That's a tall bike so the value goes down, but that frame looks more than salvagable. Ride it as is or powder coat. The forks look fixable as the steer tube seems fine in the crown. Someone with the right jig could easily repair those. Weird bend though. Suppose the impact geometry is different in such a tall frame with a tall rider to pull the rake out like that and seemingly not damage the steer tube.

Selling the wheelset and random parts would go a long way towards recouping the purchase price and give you a decent frameset (or at least frame) for next to nothing that has a lot of potential towards a modern build or a vintagesque one.

Even with issues I would consider buying this one at the price asked. If strait and solid the red label wheels are worth close to the asking price. Even scraped I could see this as $300+ bike.

If the right giant was looking for a tall frame in 531 this bike's value would certainly jump.

Damn, am I glad I ride a 56-58cm bike! I'd hate to have to scrape for weird sizes.

Is it me, or it looks that chips close to lugs on top tube and down tube are result of the front assault (that's why for is almost straight). I've done that to my bike, so the damage looks similar.

I'm not afraid of a little tweaking on a steel frame. No more scary than cold-setting the rear spacing. As long as there aren't any massive wrinkles behind the head tube I'm pretty meh about a little head-on trauma.
