Up for sale is a piece of history, has been wall art and lightly ridden ...

In great shape for its age, made in 1995 for the Chris Boardmans hour record on the track, a real head turner.. Hesitant to let it go, but it's time...

Come with a mavic clincher rear disc wheel 700c and a front 650c mavic 3G, the front wheel itself retailed for $2800 in its day...this bike looks stunning on the wall... And rides really well, have done a few big rides on this thing and descended some rather scary descents... Rock solid ride...
Carbon aero seatpost, stem, bottom bracket and headset / included.

Very rare bike at a great price...it's known as "daterd" because its the ****...
Stunning on the wall? While it is weird, it's freaking ugly and would never go on any wall in my house!

Miyata 1000 in Ohio

I don't think this guy knows what he has - a '84/'85 Miyata 1000. But somebody's currently willing to spend $0.99 on it so far. Local pickup only in Mentor, Ohio It looks like a perfect fit for me too

The 1000 has me staring, but all I can remember is running lower pressures on Vittoria 32's to enjoy it unloaded. The ride is not that forgiving without a load on it. I never rode mine loaded before selling it, but I imagine that's when the frame shines through.,,,,BD

I have a feeling this might be a "Cinelli" because that's what's written on the stem. Still, it looks pretty cool for $300.

Re: "Cinelli racing bike. Kind of a Frankenbike with all those mismatched parts (I love the campy "detailer"). Like someone found a frame and threw on whatever they had laying around. Look at the relaxed geometry, multiple eyelets, the canti brakes - something is telling me "touring bike." I might pay $100 if the frame was in good shape.

back in the old days that how guys built cross bikes. I've seen lots of guys cross the finish line first both cross and road/crit on bikes with mismatched parts.

To each his own, I guess. The frame shows beautiful workmanship, just check out the eyelets brazed into the rear dropouts, fender eyelet on the seatstay bridge, etc. Low profile XTR canti brakes in the rear for heel clearance, old school Phil hubs,... I would be checking it out if it were close.

I'll bet the guy who was winning with $16.50 was disappointed.

Re: the Klein - it is a sale for the Campy parts - free frame included. They must have upgraded from the original 8-speed Ultegra to 10-speed Daytona in 2000/2001 (or gotten them used even later). If the running gear and the frame is in good shape, that's not a bad a deal for a true Klein (not a Trek). I've seen few bikes with better quality paint jobs.

Re: Cinelli "cross bike" - that makes a lot more sense with the knobbies on there. I almost made a cross bike out of my dad's old Gitane TdF, but was lazy and eventually thought better of it. (She's going to be restored properly now.) Trust me, I'm a believer that it's the engine that gets you across the line, not the cost of the bike, but unless someone can prove it's a Cinelli or some other high quality frame, $300 is way outta line.
