Purple Falcon in New Orleans
Not mine, but I do have one, and it's a dream.
"This bike is the fastest I've ever ridden—it's geared for high-speed cross-town commuting, which is exactly what I used it for. Its solid construction makes it a great touring bike as well.
I bought it a year and a half ago from A Nearly New Shop in Lakeview, and the reputation of that store speaks for the quality of the bike's components. It's been recently tuned up, but the front gear shifter needs to be adjusted in order for it to work properly—I've never been one for shifting gears much, so I let that foible go unfixed.
The frame is a Falcon from the 70s. Falcon Bikes at that time was considered a premier British racing bike maker—you can read a bit about its history here.
Other than the front gear shifter there are a couple of things I neglected to fix—torn seat cover and loose handle bar tape (keeps it looking a bit rough to deter thieves!). I'm selling it because I moved to New Orleans and planned to bring it, but at the last minute had to leave it behind. My trusted associate will provide access to it."

I have one, probably my favorite bike. You see them for $250 to about $350 with upgraded components. I've heard that it's an easy switch to 700 wheels if you want to go that way.
It's going to be hard for anyone to offer to facilitate if you don't say where the bike is....
