Just noticed the part of his ad that states it has dents and dings...it was already a borderline price - I think a dent here is a deal killer.

I read that too, I am sure that bike has been "ridden hard and put away wet" so to speak... One of the nice things about the crazy paint jobs is the way they hide scratches, at least from a few feet away it's hard to tell whats paint and what isn't. I bet that bike has lots of scratches, chips, etc. in addition to the dents

[h=2]Holdsworth Special Vintage All Campy 18 spd, classic sport touring gem - $600 (Auburn)[/h]Excellent condition Holdsworth Special sport touring frame set up with classic matching vintage parts group. All Campagnolo including brakes. This 80's vintage British-made 58 cm blue beauty is made with 531 tubing. I bought it in the 90's from a shop in Massachusetts where it had been on a shelf for many years. I built it up with correct components for its style and vintage, and then rode her less than 1000 miles.
The frame has all braze-ons for cable guides and shifters. Ride is lively and fresh feeling. The gear train includes the rare triple chain ring Campy record crank set on a Phil Wood bottom bracket, and the Rally rear derailleur to take up the chain slack. The Rally was the same as the iconic Nuovo Record but with a longer chain take-up cage and different mounting piece
Wheels are small flange with Fiamme red label clincher rims. Saddle is a still unbroken Brooks Team Professional. Cinelli stem and handlebars. Campy ultralight pedals with Christophe toe clips and Avocet straps. Zefal pump. T/A aluminum water bottle carriers.

That Holdsworth is a nice bike, they did a good job of building those too. I almost bought one in 76 but Trek was coming out and beat the price of the Holdsworth substantially so I ended up with a TX900...which like an idiot I sold it so I could get a nicer car. Girls thought it odd of me that I had this fancy bike and a junky car, well after all it was California and junky cars was the scene for surf bums and bike bums, I don't know what they expected!

[h=2]1992 Bridgestone RB-1 56cm, All original - $850 (Cambridge)[/h] 1992 bridgestone rb-1 rb1 road bicycle. 56cm. Red frame with white decals.
The legendary top of the line road bicycle, designed by the legendary Grant Petersen, currently of rivendell fame. Built of ishiwata 022E tubing, fully butted. One of the most sought after and collectible bikes by enthusiasts and collectors.
Shimano 600 tricolor drivetrain, avocet racing 1 saddle, wheels built with butted spokes. Control tech stem, nitto handlebars. Very very few miles on the bike and components, probably less than 300.
All original, down to the original 700x28c gumwall tires. Bicycle, paint, and decals are in fantastic condition, with only a few minor paint chips- from moving the bike around indoors.
Please see the 1992 bridgestone catalog here: https://www.sheldonbrown.com/bridgestone/1992/1992.pdf (opens as 8mb pdf)
The rb-1 is on pages 27-28, and frame geometry and original specifications are on pages 48-49.
Hate to sell, but I'm moving cross country soon and need to get rid of my possessions!
I will ship, but buyer must pay packing and shipping charges.
Please do no inquire to ask if it is still for sale- it is!

That is a pretty nice one. Probably late 70s or very early 80s. The matching stoker stem is really cool. MAFAC disc? Never heard of one. I though it was a Sears disc.

Looks like clearance to me - maybe not with larger tires though.
I might have gone for this if the Bilenky didn't come through.

Unless that is a dent in the top tube, in which case I would quietly mourn and move on.

I didnt want to post this one because i want it very badly for myself. but I figure if someone else gets it then it wasnt meant to be. I have emailed the seller with my interest, but no response yet. I have a facilitator in that area that would pick up for me.
