I can't see any info on old Focus bikes. This one looks very nice with clean lines. New Focus bikes appear to be middle to high end. Any reason why this bike hasn't sold?

The presentation could definitely be better, it's winter (does LA really get winter?), looks a bit rough, lack of useful details...like parts. This type of ad screams theft, storage sale, garage clean out...meaning full restoration required. I don't see shifters on it.

That said, it wouldn't last here.

^^^ Im building a Focus RT-550 right now. They are quite rare and were short lived during the mid 80's. They were Japanese made and are not associated at all with the current Focus company. Original components were Suntour Cyclone. They dont come up too often for sale

Last week, when most of the country was hunkered down with severe cold weather, we were having 80 degree days. I kept wondering what we did to deserve it. "Sometime in my youth or childhood, I must have done something good".

This looks like a good buy, '89 Bianchi Axix, tange ChroMo frame Suntour XCD 6000 mix. $125 https://denver.craigslist.org/bik/4225577492.html

Fashionable Bianchi 28" road racing bike, probably from the late eighties. Works well for persons of about 6' or more. Professional maintenance 3 months ago - runs smoothly. Used it for commuting. Chain might need an update. Comes with battery lights and lock.

Even looks to be house broken

Also, bigger size (though not stated, it looks at least a sixty) and virtually unknown brand likely hold price down.

I agree, though-- at that price it ought to go. Weirdly, I certainly see shift cables...

Unfortunately that fork needs attention. It appears to be compressed in the lowest position. It would require at least a thorough clean-up, and possibly a rebuild with new seals. That's a real hassle since the parts are "unobtainium" at worst!

I used that site for parts to rebuild that exact model fork.
https://www.suspensionforkparts.net/eshop/answer-manitou/manitou-3-elastomer-refresh-kit.html

On the other hand, hang the fork on the wall. That Fat deserves a rigid fork anyway.

Perhaps because it's spelled wrong, this one has slid under my radar. Awhile back one came up for $1,200 I believe and the consensus was what a deal it was. If that was the case then, this one should be white hot... as long as its your size. Yet for me, like Skee-Lo, I wish I was little bit taller.

[h=2]Tommasini Techno nos Columbus frameset 59cm - $800 (Wilsonville) [/h]

Never built, never ridden. This is a project that never happened.
Tommasini measures from center to top, so this is a 61cm center to top seat tube with a 58cm center to center top tube. So this is more like a traditional 59cm.
There is still a bit of bubble wrap on the frame from the factory. The little cable ferrule for the rear derailleur is also included.
Builder tag is still on the frame.
Columbus Nemo steel tubes.
AIR fork, threadless, uncut.
Italian threaded BB shell.
$800 cash sale only. Unless you have a Taylor guitar that you'd like to trade.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks TimmyT, it probably is my size, not local at all, but that's not what's stopping me. I can't justify it, even though it would be really cool!

Looks like a small Italian maker. That bike as it sits is worth about the asking value, so if it fits and it's local to you, go for it. I'd love to have a bike that had my name on it.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rene-Herse-1...item5403309d1b

A 1972 Rene Herse. Stated as 56 cm but usually the seller a frequent reseller of Herse bikes, does not specify the 56 center to top or center to center, nor state the top tube dimension.
This is one of the few Herse examples that just does not present very well, at least not enough for me to inquire about the particulars of the sizes. It is probably close to my size range, but I will just smile and wave.
Initial bid, $4,500 under an hour left, no bidders so far.
