More than the starting bid I'd say. If I were local I would definitely put in a last minute bid.

I just lost out on a 89 Miyata 914 that sold for over $500 plus $60 shipping. How does the Schwin compare? Seems like a better frameset. Both have 105

Here's a not-very-readable scan from the 88 catalog showing the parts listing and frame details.

I had a watch on that 914 just because I was curious what it would fetch. Looked like it might go for a reasonable price when I checked on it with 10 minutes left, but no. Not sure the Tempo is a better frameset. They're probably pretty equal there. The biopace rings are a + or - depending on whether you like them. You'd have to match the older brake lever hood or find a NOS one that's still white. Wheel wouldn't be overly expensive, but for an '88 it might be tough to find an exact match in NOS condition. Then again, if you just want to ride it mismatches wouldn't be an issue. But why get NOS if it has a few older warts?

I was willing to go 300 for the miyata with shipping and I thought that was overpaying

It wouldn't have been. I usually get between 400-500 for Miyata 9 series.

Well, if you could pick that up for something close to the starting bid, you could sell off some parts and make most of your money back, and have a great frame for an sti conversion or whatever you want.

If anyone is in Denver area this looks interesting Vintage 80's Bianchi bike frame and wheels - perfect for fixie!

The seller is calling it an '80s but I belive '95/6 is closer. $125 for a CampI equipped Bianchi

This looks way over priced for an '88 Grizzlyn but it looks very clean, judging from the pic the owner may be a little OCDee

Is there a chance they are for the same side?
