This Schwinn Paramount was purchased new by me in New York City during the 1960s. I have enjoyed this bike my whole life and ridden it for about 46 years. The Gruppo was purchased in Rome, Italy by me in Spring of 1985. The original validation ownership card for the Campagnolo Gruppo comes with the bike and entitles the holder to replacement parts. A certified Bill-of-Sale would accompany the bike and Gruppo card. Also included is a set of "The Big Yankee" tapered wood rollers.

Please call Ralph at 508-878- nine five one eight or email at ralph@belmetric dot com with any questions or to schedule a time to see the bicycle in person.

Wish I had a project that could justify this crazy wheelset: 650b with a Navinci hub for $125. Maybe I need to convert my Raleigh Sports to 650....?

Does "aluminum front fork (3rd generation design)" = death fork?

English Made Viscount Aerospace Pro - 24"
[h=2]English Made Viscount Aerospace Pro - 24" - $175 (RI/MA)[/h]

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap

(google map) (yahoo map)

70's English made, brazed frame, light Phoenix tubing, 24" (tall, 32"+ standover) Aerospace Pro 10-speed. Clincher 27" rims, Shimano 'Crane' (early Dura Ace) derailleur, aluminum front fork (3rd generation design). These bikes were way ahead of their time-tubing was equal to if not better than Reynolds 531. Alloy crankset, pedals, rims, stem, bars, seatpost-serious quality beyond the 70's norm for the price.
I am funding multiple bike builds so my time with the Viscount must, sadly, come to an end. Will assist with delivery to Providence, Attleboro, and other S.Shore points for serious buyer. Have a similar complete bike in pieces if interested, in fair condition for an additional $75.

Replies with 'Viscount Aerospace Pro' in the body will get a response, otherwise will be considered spam.

condition: excellent

As the title states, I have this fantastic, awesome looking bright orange bike and I'm looking for someone who could tell me more about it/would like to own it.

From what I can see the bike is in excellent condition, very lightweight, made in Belgium possibly in the early 90s judging by the serial number.

For you B'stone RB-1 fans. I have no idea if $600 is a good price, but it's too small for me, so I won't be digging into the topic.

Jeez. As some of you know, many of the bikes that Rocket-Sauce post don't sell or sell very slowly. This bike is listed as Condition: Excellent. Flat front,
chain looks like it has been a long time since it was functional. And this is in Bridgewater far from any economic center. Plus I think you would have trouble selling this for $250 all tuned up in the heart of Boston. The market gets pretty thin once you go over $200.

Although the 3rd generation design was arguably the least likely to fail catastrophically, keep in mind that all versions of the Lambert/Viscount aluminum fork were recalled by the CPSC. If it were my bike, I'd replace it (which I did, on my Viscount). Despite being aluminum, it's not particularly light. Unlike modern aluminum forks, the Lambert/Viscount fork is a solid casting, not hollow tubes. My "death fork" is actually 50gm heavier than a similar size Reynolds 531 fork with an investment cast crown and steer tube about 1cm longer than the "death fork."

Thats a Selle San Marcus Rolls, about a $100 saddle, one of the most comfortable saddles ever made and a classic if it's a vintage model, so what's wrong with the saddle?

Not familiar with the maker, but this looks pretty cool.

Matfield custom lugged steel road bike (57cm) - $450 (Waukesha)
Matfield custom lugged steel road bike (57cm)

Up for sale is my absolutely beautiful custom steel road bike. These were hand made in Lawrence Kansas in the 90's. very few were made and this one has rarely, if ever been ridden. Fit and finish are incredible and I would describe the condition of the frame as essentially new-showing only marks from careful assembly. Paint is exceptional and very high quality.

The current build on the bike is a little bit of a mish mash of new and old featuring a mostly vintage campagnolo drivetrain and brake levers, with more modern shimano ultegra cranks and 105 brakes. Mavic/shimano wheel set from around the era the bike was new with tubular continental tires. Oh it's also got a really cool old campagnolo aero seat post.

I've had this bike for a few years as a project on the back burner. It needs absolutely nothing to ride and enjoy as is, but I was always torn between finding the complete old campy group or doing a resto-mod type thing with modern components. Finally time to let it go to make room for other projects ill hopefully actually get around to.

Frame is very light and truly has those magical ride characteristics only found on quality steel and Ti bikes. The paint is fantastically vibrant and the bike gets compliments from everyone who sees it. I'm sure it'll make it's new owner very happy.

Should fit a wide range of riders. The seat tube measures just a hair over 57cm c-t and the top tube measures spot on 57cm c-c. I'm 6'2" with a relatively short inseam and it fits me very well.

Any other questions or offers please shoot me an email. I'm easy to deal with.

I can show the bike either at home in waukesha or at work in Delafield.

Thanks for looking!

Lovely Miyata touring bike. 700c double wall wheels. nicely trued. tires in great shape. shifts and brakes well. rides smooth. needs nothing

It dos have one booger. One of the top tube cable guides split and needs a touch up. its functional and can be replaced with an old school chrome clamp on guide, left alone, or replaced with one of these:

NOVA CABLE STOP SINGLE - RIVET ON BLACK :: CABLE STOPS :: ALUMINUM SMALL PARTS :: BRAZON/SMALL PARTS :: Nova Cycles Supply Inc.

$500 picked up in Rhode Island.

We could meet at the commuter rail stop at TF Greene airport in Warwick
