I'm tempted because of how badass some cream-colored Schwalbes would look with that dark, glossy green paint.

Am I missing something here? The De Rosa Nuovo Classico is a recent issue, right? As I understand it, thesee were introduced in 2012 as new production lugged steel model--a nod to the old ways if you will. So, here we have for sale a De Rosa Nouvo Classico sold with a Campy NR group, and marketed as an early 80s bike. Wonder if the the rear triangle was squeezed down to fit a smaller rear hub. In any event, looks like a good deal if there isn't any funny business going on.

Derosa

Early 80's Derosa up for sale. The bike rides great and is in very good condition. It's a 54". It's equipped with Campagnolo Nuevo Record components

- Bars and quill stem is Cinelli
- Wheels are Mavic Open CD4 rims laced to Campagnolo NR hubs
- Campagnolo brakes, shifters, deraileurs, and seatpots

The bike will be sold with Time sport pedals.
The bike also comes with a Silca pump with a Campagnolo head.

Looking forward to hearing from De Rosa experts on this… but I think the Nuovo Classico may have been introduced in the early 90’s — here’s an entry for a 1993 model:

1993 De Rosa Nuovo Classico - New and Used Bike Value

… and here’s one noted as a 1996 model:

De Rosa Bicycles - BIKEADELIC: De Rosa Nuovo Classico and De Rosa King 3

"Early 80's" seems too darn early -- they're not listed in the catalogs during that timeframe (e.g., De Rosa catalogs available here). That said, the head tube decal on the bike in question looks congruent with what De Rosa was putting on their 80's and very early 90's bikes, i.e., the multi-colored diamond. The recent Nuovo Classico models have a different head badge.

Pinarello Treviso
[h=2]Pinarello Treviso - $859 (Teele Sq Somerville)[/h]

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap

Broadway at Victoria
(google map) (yahoo map)

condition: excellent size / dimensions: 58cm

58cm Mid-80s Pinarello Treviso with pantagraphed Campagnolo Victory components. Some newer stuff mixed in to improve rideability and sexiness. Frame is clean, no dents or dings, and is fully nickel-plated beneath the (typically poor) paint and decals. I've touched up a few chips, but there's no rust.

Full Measurements:
Top Tube, CtC = 22 5/8 inches, 57.5 cm
Seat Tube, CtT = 23 1/2 inches, 59.5 cm
Down Tube, CtC = 24 1/2 inches, 62 cm
Chain Stays, CtC = 16 inches, 40.5 cm

Since the photos were taken, I've moved to a 46cm heat-treated Nitto noodle handlebar that's been rewrapped since the photos were taken, but that wrap is losing steam and should be replaced soon. There are also new brake pads on it, but I'll provide the original Campys with the bike if you want to ride old-school. I've also installed two Velo Orange Moderniste bottle cages (VO Moderniste MK2 Stainless Steel Bottle Cage - Water Bottles & Cages - Accessories).

Bike will come without pedals.

Pictures tell 1000 words. It looks blue in some light and green/teal in others. It's a great ride, but I've got others and this one never gets used any more.

$859, or make me a reasonable offer.

(almost posted this to the British three-speed thread, but thought better of it.)

This popped up on Etsy (no affiliation). Not British or a three-speed, but still kind of cool if you're looking for an unusual project (and don't mind the cost and shipping from Hungary):

Enough screen shopping for today but these Huffy's (OK chuckle) are not the worst. Original super clean (Scout?) Concours 'Pro'. Rumored to be a Motobecane produced and some say by Carlton. There was an era when Huffy had a piece of Raleigh but who knows? Anyhow, I suppose if the shifters / brake levers, pedals, saddle were changed out it might make one the Huff'man' superhero!

Repaint
Incorrect decal set
54"?

Questions galore on this one. Still will ride well and is pretty.

What's up with all the ads listing vintage bikes as "new"? I get the "like new" bologna that people will claim, but new?

Raleigh Kodiak with no bids (opening bid $100)

The Kodiak has aways been overshadowed by the Portage, but it's a rock solid touring bike. This one seems seriously underpriced for local pickup only (Illinios)
