I think you meant "scream in outrage," not "terror."

No, I'm not--just doing a little gratuitous chain-yanking. It's a bad habit, I know.

Tandem Bicycle -- 3Rensho in western mass. 700

The bike is a San Rancho, in Japanese the 3 is the word San. It's got a light frame. It can be ridden comfortably with someone as short as 5' 7' up front and I'm 5 6 ½ and comfortable in back. The handlebars would need to be raised in back for a much taller person. It has racing tires on it, gearing that works, sleek and smooth riding. It is not a touring bike.

Thanks for reading.
Mods please move or remove if this isn't appropriate. Couldn't find a "are you looking for one of these" thread in TANDEM.

Cheers,

Joe

Although I've tried, I just can't manage to be a fan of Celeste green; I'm sure it's some kind of personal failing. This, however, is a very sharp-looking bike.

Selling my vintage trek road bike. Not sure of the exact year but I think its from the 90s. Its been ridden all over the place and back and still running strong. However, the gears need some tuning. Everything else works just fine. Its a 62cm frame for a taller person. Im 6 foot 2 and it fits me perfect

Ah, I see it got into the wacky thread because of the aero bars. That's certainly a creative angle for them (much like the 90 degree bar ends I see mounted so often on mtbs). Stranger to me is what looks like the shortest stem on earth and a weird cog in back. The original saddle is probably hidden, begging for escape from somewhere inside that gel monstrosity. Removing that cover, shucking those profile bars, and lowering the stem would make it a lot more presentable!

I noticed this one just minutes after it was posted last night. I bought it via text messages (seller preference as means to communicate). I picked it up this morning. The guys wife said after "he" had a flat... he lost interest in cycling.

It's a nice old Supra double butted CroMo. It needs a new tire and tube.

Oh my! I have no business or reason to get another tandem but this one could be a steal. Thanks for sharing the link. Although, quite an odd description and poor pics. Who does that for having such a fine machine?

Pity the outrageous cost of a tube these days. Very good reason for the seller to dump it. I'll bet you couldn't stop laughing!! Well done Mr. Cutter

I am retired and having a couple old steel bicycles to wrench on in the middle of a Midwest winter is a pleasant way to past some time. Some I restore... some I update. I like polishing up the old chrome and/or aluminum. And when I find a deal like this... I can put a few bucks into the bicycle and not think I am throwing my money away.

I'll also ride it, display it, and enjoy it for awhile too.

^^^ Comparing to new tandems, some amazing deals out there for the classics. Thank goodness I'm not near this one. Neat machine with character. Might already be old news on the tandem forum.
