This is a Classic and Rare Schwinn Paramount Series 7 PDG, Top of the Line in Mint/New Condition. This bike features quality hand made Japanese construction by Panasonic using Tange precision butted oversize steel tubes, investment cast bottom bracket and seat lug, tapered stays, flared oval seat tube, internal brake cable routing and forged Tange dropouts. The bike features the "Purple Freak" paint job with a protective clear coat and is great shape (like new) and no dents in the tubing. Mechanically this bike is complimented by a full Shimano 600 (predecessor to Ultegra) 9 speed STI drivetrain that has been professionally tuned. Recently appraised by National Expert. I test-rode this bike today. It's in good shape, smooth ride, Accushift rear derailer works great, comfy. Sadly, it's too small for me.

I would replace the front derailer cable if I bought it. It came loose from the derailer while I was riding it. The owner and I put it back in place but I noticed it is beginning to fray.

Hi all. Been lurking on BF for a while as I'm thinking of getting back into road cycling after 20 years off. I used to ride a late 70's Motebecane until the early 90's when I got into mountain biking (which I stopped shortly after once I moved to a place without good MB trails). In any case, I plan to buy a cheap used bike and log some miles to determine 1) if I still enjoy it and 2) what I want out of a new bike if I decide to continue on. What are your thoughts on this bike? Any suggestions what to ask the seller or what to look out for or the price? I appreciate any help you guys can offer.

58cm vintage steel racing bike for sale. Excellent condition, no rust, no damage. Overhauled last winter with all new bearings, chain, and gears. The brake levers, cables, housing were replaced at the same time. This is a handmade lugged steel frame with Italian Columbus steel tubing and dropouts. Shimano drivetrain(indexed, not friction) handbuilt wheels in great shape. Very smooth ride. You should be 5'11" or taller to fit.
