This De Rosa looks unridden, I'd say that with the $1600 asking price, this is a pretty good deal

Why is this ad still up? Even at double his asking price, it would be a decent buy.

COLNAGO bicycle

Beautiful blue 'Master Light' competition road bike (classic Columbus steel crimped tube frame geometry) - excellent condition. 55 inch, 18-speed, Campy Chorus with 53-39 crank, and brand new Continental 4000 S II's (23 mm). Mavic Reflex wheels, Speedplay pedals, straight Colnago fork. Just made 'road-ready' by techs at local bike store. Absolutely nothing wrong with bike -- need to sell due to space limitations (1 bedroom apt, and three additional bikes)

Trade: 1974 Bianchi Rekord (Celeste) frame and parts | frames, parts | Ottawa | Kijiji

I am intereseted in a possible trade. I own a 1974 Bianchi Rekord model 00.5.67 (in Celeste) that I use as a wall art. Comes with all the parts shown. Size is 53/54cm. Frame is great original shape with almost no rust. Paint is in great shape and still has a shine to it. Still had the sticker from where the bike was bought in Italy almost 40 years ago. (I believe the seat post is not original). A few campagnolo parts.

I am looking for an Italian steel frame/bike in 56cm. May be willing to trade for a frame/bike plus cash, or frame/bike plus I give you cash. Just testing the waters. What do you have?

CIOCC MOCKBA 80 Brandy New @!@!@
[h=2]CIOCC MOCKBA 80 Brandy New @!@!@ - $900 (Southcoast)[/h]

condition: new

It's not often that a find like this comes along... ANYWHERE. This bicycle has NEVER been ridden. It is a replica of a team bicycle used in the 1980 Moscow Olympics. The frame is Columbus Aelle tubing. 58cm C-T. Component gruppo is full Galli Criterium. Handlebars/Stem TTT 40cm x 120cm. Saddle is Cinelli Volare Suede. Tyres Hutchinson Tempo sewup. Seatpost SR LaPrade 27.2. Gearing 52/42 13-19 7sp straight block. Tape Benotto cello ribbon. I am quite firm on my price of $900. This bike should be in a museum instead of on the road. Please NO money order scam emails... ( this is not my first rodeo ).

I really like the Galli components. The derailleurs look to be KL, not Criterium, though. A step up in my mind... Not sure about the brakes. They look like Criterium calipers, but the dome nuts don't match what I saw in Velobase. Too bad it's too small. I'd have to part the darn thing out and hunt down another frame.

Something doesn't look right with that CIOCC. All MOCKBA's I've seen were a much higher level bike than that; SL tubing rather than Aelle, chrome fork and rear triangle rather than painted and Campy SR instead of Galli.

The ad copy reads, "It is a replica of a team bicycle used in the 1980 Moscow Olympics."

I suspect that means whoever built it was mostly intent on duplicating the look, if not necessarily the quality, of the original. Looks like the fork crown and seat stay caps are embossed (correct term?) with the Ciφcc name, so it's likely an actual Ciφcc frame, perhaps a bit down-market.

Olmo Competition Road Bike

[h=2]Olmo Competition Road Bike - $250 (MD & DC)[/h]

Its seen better days but with a couple of new components & some TLC, it will be a great spin.....

Its an 80's classic, 12 speed, a good stiff 54 cm frame that goes well on hills especially.

Some features:

Columbus tubing frame & fork
Brakes: Shimano 600, old fashioned handles with exposed wiring.
Front derailleur: Good shape
Rear derailleur: 600 SIS, works but maybe not the best for this classy machine
Chrome Fork has original detailing and looks great.
Turbo Saddle
Wolber wheels, Good strong old fashioned, never had a spoke break,
Tires in good shape
Beautiful Olmo detailing at lugs

Some adjustments/work needed:

One of the top-tube eyelets for the rear cable needs replacing
Brakes, a bit stiff but could be loosened I am sure.
Chain is a bit worn out and may need replacing
Cranks & Bottom bracket? Not functioning well, bearings need changing but threads gone on right crank where crank tool needs to go to remove it.

Please contact me with any questions. Was bought originally in Ireland about 12 years ago for me to reintroduce myself to racing. It was shipped to the U.S, I've got better bikes now and family says I'm not spending time on restoring it fully, you can do that and enjoy........

Italian styled Bianchi near Philly

Wow. Dude has cancer. He works on a bike with his kids to make something "artistic." Sure it's not my thing, but it's not insanely overpriced. Then some jerk opens a can of whoop @ss on him. That's not cool.

Bianchi 1986/87 Campagnolo Italian Race Bike

Bianchi 1986/87 Campagnolo Italian Race Bike - $750 (NE Philadelphia)

1986-87 Bianchi"Reparto Corse" (58cm) Steel, 8 Speed Campagnolo Chorus, Italian themed race bike. This road bike is beautiful and in near perfect condition. I restored this bike in its entirety with my two young boys, while I under-went aggressive medical treatments for Cancer.I think there may be 3 miles on it. It was hung on my wall as a show piece. Everything on this bike is "time period" correct and most things on the bike are new like the Paint, decals, saddle (Concor), Tires (Giro D' Italia) Rims (Mavic CXP 33, Laced with Italian Flag Colors) Handlebars (Cinelli) This bike is just incredible and the pictures hardly do it justice. The water cages (red) are even new, with new Bianchi Water Bottles, If you're a true bike fan looking for something unique to ride, or add to your collection, look no further. My price is firm. It's a steal for $750. The rims/lacework alone were $500. Hurry up! I know this bike wont last long!!!! I wish you all.... Safe & Happy Riding!!!

RE: Bianchi 1986/87 Campagnolo Italian Race Bike

RE: Bianchi 1986/87 Campagnolo Italian Race Bike (NE Philadelphia)

I am not sure just what Bianchi you have there but IMHO everything in your listing is completely wrong.

"Restoring" usually means returning something to original factory condition or as close as humanly possible. No Bianchi from the time frame this bike is claimed to be from carried such a paint scheme so there is a start.

The style of the Bianchi decals is wrong for an 86 or 87 bike

The world championship stripes are in the wrong place and the wrong style for period

A Bianchi from '86 or 87 would not have a both a unicrown fork and Columbus Formula tubing.

If this is a 'restored' road bike why does it need a clamp for a down tube housing stop?

The Reparto Corse sticker is the wrong place.

Aside from the missing shifter bosses there is another part missing on the frame that would preclude it from being from the Reparto Corse

Is there a reason there is no clear picture of the right dropout?

Aside pedals, bars and stem none of the components are 'time period correct' for an 86 or 87 bicycle of any type. The '8spd Campagnolo Ergo shifters were introduced in '92 so there is no way they were on an '86 or 87 model bike.

I am sure you don't believe me so post this on a site called Bike Forums in the Classic and Vintage appraisal section and lots of members will tell you whether they agree this is a 'restored' '86 or '87 Bianchi of any type.

Good luck with the sale.

RE: Bianchi 1986/87 Campagnolo Italian Race Bike

So I am supposed to feel like a heel? The bike is simply not what the seller is advertising. It may be his artistic idea of the perfect '86/87 Bianchi but nothing is 'time period correct' except perhaps the frame. Perhaps I should mention on the bikes I am selling I rebuilt them while recovering from a minor stroke.

True but this is just so so..... there are no words to describe it. I don't normally play CL police other than to correct a year or model but this was just too much. If the seller had an email I would have emailed him rather than a public post.

+1 On there's no way to patrol CL. The seller thinks it's a gem, and justifies it with the reason that whatever happened in his life gives him the right to sell it as such. The seller is a troll.

If it will help you sell them more easily, do it! You might even fetch more money for them.

How is your health holding up now, @Bianchigirll? Getting stronger, I hope. My uncle had a stroke a few years ago, and he's doing very well now.
