Mercian Anyone?

Here is a super nice Mercian frame for someone looking for one. If I didn't already have too many projects, this would be on my radar.

beautiful clean schwinn super sport 1974
That's an early '73 model according to the componentry, frame size is 24". Missing the toe straps and the original GT-200 rear derailleur, however the replacement looks like a VGT-Luxe. Overall it's in excellent condition and I've seen those orange brake lever covers sell for nearly $100 alone to the Krate collectors...

I like the color. I think I saw this in a vintage Schwinn ad with some guy in really short shorts and white converses and oversized socks riding round. Looks like they never rode it... ever.

Custom Chris Kvale Road Bike - $600 (Belgrade)

condition: excellent

avoiding scams

I have a CKC from 1982 it is the 15th bike that he built that year. The components are Campagnolo, rear Campagnolo Nuovo Record. I purchased this bike from a local Bozeman rider and have had it 10 plus years. It is in great shape and has been stored inside. The seat tube measures 50 cm and the top tube measures 52 cm. The only reason I'm trying to sell this is I'm saving for a new bike and one that fits me a bit better. I'm willing to entertain offers. Thanks for looking.

It fits my wife, but I already have too many bikes for her. I'd appreciate it more than her and she'd get sick of me riding side by side with her saying, "That bike looks so sexy..... with you on it!!"

Brifters with DT shifters? That fork can't be original... Replacement from a crash? Tubes look straight, but I'd check carefully.

It looks a little like the old race setup that LanceA used to use at times in the mountains.

From what I can tell from the pics this bike appears to be in excellent condition, someone from here should run and not walk to see this bike in Painesville Ohio.

According to the catalog and it needs to have the original Suntour Cyclone F/R derailleurs and shifters, and Dia Compe GX500N brake calipers, Weinmann 513S wheels, Maillard hubs, and SR SXC crankset to be worth the price their asking.

These bikes only weighed 24 pounds which seems like a lot but not so much for the era, but this bike was built to last a very long time with bullet proof components, those derailleurs were among the best ever made in terms of reliability and quickness of the shift. The frame was Tenax Columbus SL tubing with forged dropouts. The only fault with the bike, which is why the bike weighs 24 and not 22 like the higher end Super Sport that used the same frame was the fork which Schwinn used a heavier HI tensile steel for the Tempo instead of lighter Tange CroMoly, and the rims were a bit heavier too then the Super Sport. This bike also had eyelets on the dropouts front and rear so someone could attach fenders.
