that colnago is on ebay as well. very tempting but i actually don't like the overdone paint job. I am sort of looking for one.. but its a bit over the top even for a colnago!

for the right person looking for a fully functional tourer mixte, that looks like a great deal for $400. I've rarely seen mixte tourers with mid-fork eyelets, canti brakes, double eyelets, etc.

Orange 531 tubed Gitane. Give it some love and might be a cheap Eroica rider.

Early 1980s Gitane Service Course road bike. Hand crafted in France with lugged Reynolds 531 tubing. Good riding condition with new wheels and tires, original paint, pinstripes and decals. Hard, fast ride available only in a vintage French bike. Mafac Competition center pull brakes. Simplex derailleurs and shifters. Shimano Dura-Ace crankset. This is a beauty. $350 or best offer.

I had this exact model many years ago.

Great ride and I didn't mind the Campy SR.

Stolen from my wife's front porch at her brother's apartment.

I'd take another at the right price.

I would make it into a city bike so fast it would make your head spin.

What a beautiful bike, I never cared much for French stuff back when I use to race but now since I don't require that of a bike I sure do appreciate the beauty of French bikes.

Replace those ugly black zip ties holding the cable with this: All-City Cable Housing Clamps Silver, Cable Stops, Guides, Pulleys But word from the wise about these, put some sort of clear protective tape over the frame before installing these clips or the clips can scratch your paint due to them moving, but they will give the bike the classic and original look they had when they left the factory.

Doesn't look like a PX-10 to me. However, it looks like a decent deal for $100 either way... at least for a local purchase.

Another Gitane TdF located near Bloomington, IL. Later model year than the orange one depicted above (IMHO, I'd prefer the older model). Gitane liked to capitalize on the Tour name, somewhat glorified but whatever. This one needs some re-configuring but at least all original. Noted is Wilsons shop. Nice folks. Fairly recent moved and further expanding the shop.

Looks like a PX10. I'd say the size is the culprit here.

Oh, and I believe those are actually the 'plain' lugs, not the fancy (Nervex) lugs.

That is a very nice black UO8 which, at the very least, is an uncommon color (I see an order of magnitude more in white).

Nice- looks like a decent amount of bike for the money! I'm sure any self-respecting C&Ver would ditch the reflectors, dork disc, kickstand, and semi-hobo bar look post-haste

Hard to see much from this one photo, but I think I see Mafac, TA/Stronglight, and Huret components. Anyone know this marque?

condition: good
make / manufacturer: Tommasini
model name / number: Tre Tubi

Acquired the frame and built this up as a Bday present for my SO. The paint on the bike has a patina as can be seen in the photos, but I got rid of all the surface rust, framesavered the frame and then sealed over the exposed areas with a paint that was close to the original. Obviously not perfect, but it does the job (as in preventing further rust) and the bike looks great from most angles except from up close. The ride is sublime and the chrome fork is perfect.

The parts are Shimano 600 with the exception of the Dura Ace bar-end shifters and Chris King headset. It does have cross levers for anyone wanting to brake from the top of the bars. It's a sweet bike and deserves to be ridden. Not sure of the exact model, but it is Columbus and most likely the Tre Tubi model.
