There are some really nice 70's-80's Schwinns on the local CL this week. Two Paramounts, a Voyageur for $100, a Prelude, a 754. If that Prelude had been up a couple weeks ago I wouldn't have gotten this Cannondale project instead :-D

Vintage Schwinn Road Bike

I am selling my Vintage Schwinn Road Bike. I am moving states and will not have any room to bring my precious bike. I have owned this bike for the last 7 years and have kept it in really good condition. I have not found anyone that wants to buy it so I have lowered the price drastically to sell it. I am moving in 3 days. Call or Text
The bike in the photo is one I sold about 3 years ago so I am guessing it's not a real ad. It was a great bike BTW. Sprint bits are sweet!!!

Maybe not a steal, but a fair deal at the very least. I cross-posted it in the FGSS forum.

Not exactly what you'd call a pretty bike, but the components seem good.

Panasonic DX-5000 Roadbike w Campagnolo

Panasonic DX-5000 Roadbike w Campagnolo - $525 (near Clint NJ (Hunterdon County))

Panasonic Custom bike, I assume it is a 1987 or 1988 DX-5000.
Has Campagnolo components. Campy Super Record - vintage?
Possibly a unicorn one-off custom bike similar to european models? The US model DX-5000s did not have campy components as far as I could research, unless this was built to spec or later upgraded.
Mix of Japanese and Italian components.

It can use new rubber handlebar brake boots although the cork tape is in great shape.
Kinesis fork. Cinelli handlebars.
Seems to be 57 or 58cm. Serial # 8BO1969 which makes it a February 1988 bike?

Panasonic DX-5000 Photos by matthew63334 | Photobucket

Located near exit 12 Route 78 Union Township NJ. Sorry, but will not ship.
Will consider all offers.

Nice True Temper Trek for sale in SW Virginia. Great vintage lugged Trek

[h=2]Great vintage lugged Trek - $180 (Downtown Rke)[/h]

condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Trek
model name / number: 330
size / dimensions: 60

I've got a 1988 Trek 330 road bike for sale. It's a road bike, but but it's built up as more of a townie/commuter type ride, which is a great way to enjoy a vintage steel road bike. This bike is from the era when Trek still made their bikes in the US (Waterloo, WI to be exact). The frame and fork are built with a lugged construction method using True Temper double butted chromoly tubing.

The bike is in great shape- no dents, dings, or damage to the frame or fork anywhere. The paint has a few chips here and there that have been touched up but overall it's in fantastic shape, especially considering it's age. The bike was just tuned up and has fresh cables and housing, new saddle, new bars, new grips, and new brake levers. It's really a quality bike throughout- Suntour/Sugino drivetrain, DiaCompe/Tektro brakes, Ritchey/Shimano 105 wheels, and nice Kenda 700/28c tires. Also comes with a handlebar bag, a bell, and a taillight.

The frame size is a 24"/60cm, but it has a relatively short top tube (as was common on American bikes at the time). In modern terms this bike would be considered a Large and would fit someone from about 5'11"-6'3" give or take depending on your proportions.

This bike could be both great addition to any seasoned rider's stable as a commuter or a great first bike for someone wanting to take advantage of the great riding in our area.

That looks like an early Finest, so worth picking up if the fork isn't too rusty. If it were near me, and I didn't have 3+ bikes in the queue, I'd pick it up. I love the old fujis, and that's my size.

GITANE PROFESSIONAL TOUR DE FRANCE 1969 EXCELLENT CONDITION - $600 (North Bend)
This Gitane has been on CL for months. Looking at the decals and Campy NR group, I think it's a Super Corsa rather than a TDF. I would think that a good price for an SC.

Edit: On second glance, it does appear to be a TDF upgraded with an NR group. It seems that if the seller could be talked down to $500 it would be OK if it is as nice as it looks.

Very good price for a highly sought after tourer. Too tall for me, though.

I should have purchased every one of these in sight ten years ago.

Definitely would have beaten some dogbreath stocks I've owned over the same time period.

Need a MTB like I need a hole in my head but I love the color on this, and this was a nice model. It had Mountain LX which became Deore the next year and regular Deore became Deore DX. My roommate had one when I lived in Boston and like I said I love the color. I can't afford another bike either but could swing the $150 for this but not the extra for the drive to DC. Anybody down that way looking for a decent MTB may want to check this out.
