Rossin Quadro with some nice Campy bits. Local pickup in PA, a bit too far for me. Quadro is Columbus Cromor if memory serves. Needs a little TLC but I think it would be a good buy at $300

Wish it were a little bit taller!!

Eddy Merckx Columbus road bike 57cm
[h=2]Eddy Merckx Columbus road bike 57cm - $800 (Bedford)[/h]

condition: good

This is a Columbus SL 57cm frame, built at the beginning of Eddy Merkx production when they were made under the supervision of DeRosa. This bike has the flat top fork crown like older DeRosas. It is approximately 1983 AFAICT.
It was completely restored and repainted in 2012 by HotTubes, spread to accept modern hubs and built with Campagnolo Centaur 10 speed. Mavic Wheels, rear is Record hub. Clement LGG tires. Ritchey stem/post/bars. 53x39 with 175mm arms. Cassette is 13-26.
It has the original threaded fork with quill stem converter, but you could switch to a traditional quill stem to be more retro correct. Black Chris King threaded headset.
I put about 5300 miles on this bike so there are minor nicks here and there but really nice looking overall. Bike gets a lots of comments. This was a fun project for me but I am on to the next one. There is no bar tape on there now but I'll include a box of Fizik tape so you can position the levers like you want and then put the tape.

Someday, someday I will be at loose ends in bike land and ready to go find a 55cm PDG or maybe an early Trek Lemond or some other nice mass-market OS steel bike, and build it up like new. I really like the blue with yellow spatter on the Series 3.

I promised myself I wouldn't use the F word in front of Bianchigirl

Vintage 1987 Custom Lemond Maillot Jaune bike, 56cm, Columbus SL

This is a 56cm Lemond Maillot Jaune from the late 80's. Columbus SL tubes with Cinelli bb shell. This bike is a blend of older and newer parts and has been ridden sparingly as my vintage backup bike. It is supremely comfy for all day riding and/or hilly Bay Area stuff. It has a newer Columbus Muscle full carbon fork as well as full carbon aero bars and lightweight modern stem. Tiso lightweight aheadset. Being sold with a seldom used older set of American Classic hubbed tubies that I'd throw some Tufo sealant in and go ride. Older 600 level Shimano 8spd brifters and matching brakes. Older Cannondale crankset with Octalink bb. ControlTech carbon seatpost with newer Flite carbon railed seat. Speedplay pedals shown are NOT included in the sale. Little bit of Nokon cabling used for the rear der. cable. Overall weight is about 21 pounds, very light for vintage steel. The paint on this is custom...you'll never see another one like it. All the joints have the look of being antiqued. White, red, and mainly black. Lots of other black parts including the cranks, wheels, seat post and fork making for a pretty stealthy look. Call

Now and then. It's not that common. If we had a garage I would have made an offer, but two tandems hanging from the ceiling is already excessive. I think bringing home a third would probably mean hiring movers.

I probably should have been more clear...it's not even so much the price as it is that it's just hard to sell tandems in general. Once it's a vintage tandem, it becomes extremely difficult. Most of the older tandems weigh a lot more, flex a lot more and you have issues shearing off things like cotter pins with the added torque. The geometry is usually less desireable, especially for the stoker. So you're looking for a buyer where the bike fits two people, and they want it more as a collector piece. They probably already have a more modern tandem they do most of their riding on. Someone that it fits two people, and who will store two tandems? That's hard to find.

Paramount Waterford All Dura Ace 58CM Like New
[h=2]Paramount Waterford All Dura Ace 58CM Like New - $900 (newton)[/h]

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap

(google map) (yahoo map)

condition: like new
size / dimensions: 58cm

1991 Waterford built Paramount 58cm measured center to top and 57cm measured center to center. The top tube is 57 measured center to center as well. The 57 and up frames were built with Columbus SL while the smaller frames had SLX because they felt SLX was not strong enough for a taller rider. Columbus SL is superior to Reynolds 531 since it was lighter and stronger.

Waterford Paramounts were hand brazed with silver solder. The welding finish of a Paramount is among the best work in the world. This is one of the last years that true Paramounts were built.

This bike has been used very little as you can see by the picture of the crank with no usage scratches. The paint and decals are exceptional. The components are all the original top of the line 16 speed Shimano Dura Ace and the rims are Mavic and bars and stem are Cinelli. This was the 26th frame built in May of 1991.

Richard Schwinn, grandson of the Schwinn founder and purchaser of the Schwinn's Waterford works now makes bikes under the name Waterford. A new frame alone would start at $2,000 and likely be more than twice the price of this bike before you add components.

A well cared for Paramount will not depreciate unlike any new bike.

The price is firm. Please include a phone number or I will not respond.

Black Fuji Ace

Fuji road bike - 10 speed
[h=2]Fuji road bike - 10 speed - $160 (Coolidge corner)[/h]

Selling my Fuji road bike as I need to switch to a hybrid bike for commuting purposes. Just picked it up from quad bikes repair shop on 4/16 with a new chain and new front and rear brakes. Rides as smooth as ever.

Cables will need to be replaced, but currently at a good mid-gear for getting around the city, till then.

Stand over height is 34.5 inches, so better for a taller rider.

Includes front and rear lights for night riding.

Black Fuji Ace

Fuji road bike - 10 speed
Fuji road bike - 10 speed - $160 (Coolidge corner)

Selling my Fuji road bike as I need to switch to a hybrid bike for commuting purposes. Just picked it up from quad bikes repair shop on 4/16 with a new chain and new front and rear brakes. Rides as smooth as ever.

Cables will need to be replaced, but currently at a good mid-gear for getting around the city, till then.

Stand over height is 34.5 inches, so better for a taller rider.

Includes front and rear lights for night riding.
