If I lived any where near that I'd be extremely tempted. Too bad it doesn't have chromed stays.

For once someone has it backwards. Normally eBay is full of people who think they have a PX10 when it's a UO8, this guy is selling a PX10 as a UO8. Largest size (25in/63.5cm). Someone in Sacramento that can do local pickup may want to bid unless they wise up: https://www.ebay.com/itm/252024326162

Folks, someone needs to JUMP on that roller cam High Sierra above! Ditto that early 1980s Trek 890. Both are smoking hot deals, chock full of desirable parts.

That's why I said "someone with local pickup". $120-$160 is all too common on fleabay for bike shipping... I see half a dozen bikes a day domestically with absurd shipping like that, unless it's just the bikes I'm looking at? If this were int'l shipping, I could understand $160, but ...

I dunno, could be a good local deal...

No worries, it's all good! I'm quite possibly one of the world's worst communicators, TBH. It's not uncommon for me to edit a post half a dozen times because the wording is confusing as hell.

Oh - and another bike, not CL or eBay though. For an Orange County CA buyer, Miyata Sport Cross for $29 currently: shopgoodwill.com - #22805236 - Miyata Sport Cross Bicycle - Red - 7/14/2015 7:12:00 PM

Did it occur to you to let the seller know he's mis-informed?

Yes, sent the seller a message last night around 9pm EST/midnight EST and redirected them to your site to check the 1974 catalog so they could see what a early-mid 70's PX10 E and LE looked like, confirm the rear Simplex dropouts which are tell-tale on the higher end bikes.

When they hadn't replied yet as of this morning, figured I'd post it here in case anyone local wanted to keep eyes on it. You know the old adage: "you can lead a horse to water...".

NICE FIND! Would love to ride this one in the single tracks.
These early gen ATB's are becoming desirable. This one has all the classic traits - thumbie's, bull moose, skins, roller cam's, even the color is quite appealing.

I've never seen a '70s PA, PR, or PH bike with chromed Simplex dropouts. I'm a huge Peugeot fan, but someone more versed than I may need to chime in on that one. For the production year listed, there's nothing in the following year's catalog indicating anything in this line except PX10* had these.

I'd want someone to do the same for me, give me a fair shake. That's what it's all about, right?

PRN-10s don't have any chrome on the seat and chain stays, from what I can tell.
