1990 Trek 520 touring
43cm with a 29.5" standover.
Almost never used and stored in the house for 25 years
Listed for $550
Not a scorching deal, but if someone is looking for a really small touring bike that's quality, there may not be much better for much less.

Well, I'm sure you will learn like the rest of us
Do the rims have their stickers on them? That would give the model number and would help ascertain what they are. The spokes are undoubtedly steel. Also, if you post close ups of the hub centers and flanges, the Campy gurus can tell you what the hubs are. I'm going to go ahead and guess that every thing on there is C-Record, which is a desirable racing group. The Delta brakes, apparently, are more like "speed adjusters" rather than brakes.
As for how Masi's ride, to many people this is *the* brand against which all others are compared. While I have never swung a leg over a Masi, I would imagine that it is quite lively.

Interesting crankset, maybe for someone looking to take it to the next level from his/her Biopace rings. My knees hurt just looking at these!

I know that was too easy, but I can't help it.

Your seat post isn't set according to the minimum insertion line. If that is sized for you, you may want to get a longer post.

Are you sure that the engraved logo is a requirement? I had this Simoncini from some years back. It only had a decal on the head tube.

Every Simoncini I've seen (prior to this) has the engraved logo.

Motobacon Grand Jubilee I was thinking about picking up while back home for a few days. I just wanted it for the Jubilee drivetrain and Stronglight crankset. The fork looks a pretty messed up and possibly the frame also. But a long cage Jubilee RD and the cranks are worth the price. Just didn't have time to snag it.

Anyone know anything about these? Very cool.
KHS ZH2B Aero Turbo
KHS ZH2B Aero Turbo
These bikes were made in various models from 1993 to 1999. The ZH2B stands for Zinn Hed Boone, an all-star team of aerodynamic industry leaders, Lennard Zinn (Zinn Cycles, author, technical writer for VeloNews), Steve Hed (HED Cycling, aero wheels), and Boone Lennon (inventor of aero bars). The frame was only offered in three sizes - 52 , 55, and 59 cm, as a conscious effort to reduce dealer inventory.
Keener splendor
I have two frames with the engraved logo. One has a "unicrown" fork with an S stamped on it. The other has a fork with "Simoncini" stamped on the crown. Both have the same drain holes on the bottom of the bottom bracket they look like three slits: \\\. It was the bottom bracket combined with the later serif graphics and a cheesy stamped Japanese crankset that made me think it was an impostor. If it were to have top tube cable guides, it should have the earlier logos, which use the bold sans serif font.
I'm guessing, obviously, that it's not a Simoncini. Those graphics are available on ebay. In this bikes favor, it does have a Modolo death stem and a Dura Ace 7400 rear derailleur. Something just doesn't sit right with me though. I could be wrong, and if it were local, I'd check it out (carefully).

Building up a new bike so I've been looking through the parts section on CL (never ventured there before). Lot of cool stuff shows up, like this Aluminum lugged frame by Alan.

Check out the other pictures, it looks super cool! The seat stays and chain stays look like they are bolted on!

Found this while searching for a touring bike for my bro-in-law. Wrong size for him.

1985 Miyata 210 Touring - $300 (Wicker Pk/Bucktown)
condition: good
make / manufacturer: 1985 Miyata
model name / number: 210 Touring
size / dimensions: 25 inch
1985 Miyata 210 Touring Bicycle. This bike is in great condition (see pics) and is perfect for city commuting or bike camping. The size of the bike is 25inch (from the center of the crank to the top of the top tube). The 1985 Miyata 210 is a very desirable year, as it was the first year the bike offered cantilever brakes and a triple-butted chromoly main frame--It's lightweight and has great stopping power. The bike is currently setup with 27-inch wheels, but I have had it set up with 700c wheels without any issues--it can accomodate 700x35 with fenders (or wider tires without fenders). The price is $300.
I've made some modifications to the original setup (listed below). Here's a link to the original setup (1985 Miyata catalog): Miyata Bicycle Catalogs: Miyata Catalog 1985
Rivendell Silver Bar End Shifters: Silver Shifters Bar End KIT - 17089
New Old Stock Suntour shifter cable stop (to attach bar-end shifters)
Tektro CR720 Cantilever brakes (silver)
27 inch Wolber Wheels (from a 1985 Schwinn Voyageur, which are better rims than the original)
Velo Orange Decaleur: to carry a small bag on a front rack (this can be removed, if you prefer). VO Decaleur Kits

Medici Bike, shifter model
Could be something interesting here. My special skills say it's probably a 54cm or smaller. I think that might be a campy aero seatpost and a campy rear rim, and a Shimano Nexus rd off of a $200 hybrid!
