Yeah, the Lotus Supreme is supposed to be very nice - their "top-of-the-line conventional frame racing bicycle" at the time. Interestingly, the color plus the decal that appears to be Tange Champion suggest 1982 or earlier, but the fork crown says 1983. I'm guessing it was transitional timing. Components should be Dura Ace all around. (Source: vintagelotusbicycles.com).

That would be a very worth while bike to get, Lotus tends to be not looked upon as a collector bike yet it is very worthy of being one, especially the top tier one like that one which is very difficult to find not alone find one in that condition. For that price I think someone should be running to get it though it is a small frame. Of course someone would need to put the correct handlebars on it, and it's only worthwhile buying assuming all the components are original. The bars were either Nitto or Cinelli, probably Nitto on that particular one due to it having all Japanese components from the factory.

For sale is a late 80s Raleigh Grand Prix 12 speed road bike with a 56cm Cr-mo frame.

Frame is very clean no rust and not many scratches. Bike has alloy wheels and a full Suntour ARX drivetrain with and SR alloy crank.

Bike shifts well and brakes work. Not perfect but would be a good city commuter or campus bike. Or take the really sharp looking frame and make a fixie out of it.

Columbus Thron tube-set. 9 speed with Dura Ace rear derailleur and Ultegra front derailleur. Ultegra shifters. Campy Record rear brake, Shimano front brake (I believe 105). Mavic Ksyerium SSC wheelset, Continental Gatorskin 700x25 tires, a Chris King headset, Ritchey seatpost and an Ultegra crankset with 170 arms. The bottom bracket has zero play and spins beautifully.

This bicycle has no mechanical issues, It rides very well, shifts perfectly and stops great. It does have paint chips (so typical of pre-2000 Italian bicycle paint jobs) but still looks quite good for its age.

This bike is very fast, has a nice straight frame, and has never been crashed. For reference I am 5'11" and although I can ride and have ridden this bike over the years, it is just too big for me.

The $400 price is firm and the owner will also receive a new box of Cinelli black bar tape because the bars need rewrapping. No pedals or water bottle cages included.

1991 MERLIN TITANIUM 8 speed - $900 (NATICK) hide this posting

This is a 58cm original (Cambridge/Kellogg factory) road bike, which I bought on ebay
in 2010 (documentation avail.). The prev.owner, in Crompound, NY, was a track biker
and gave me extra sets of flywheels, etc, which is a bagfull of stuff. I had turned this into
my daily rider, with a compact, 'mountain bike' cassette (36?), a 4" stem extension
(removable), Kysirium 'Le Monde 2000" wheels-limit. 200 made, a Salle-Italia seat,
new old stock Shimano shifters, nearly indestructible Gatorback tires.
The 3m police grade reflexivelite tape is removable. The paint has some minor
spiderweave in places, and one 1" gash in r. front fork. I am selling b/c it just doesn't
fit my body when I'm going up hill and have to press down with thighs, no ability to
even stand on pedals. I'm 5'8" so suggest this for anyone taller. The wheels were $350
on Ebay in 2013, front tire brand new, rear prob. 20 miles on it. I am told that any ti frame
in good shape is worth 1K...and yes, the serial number is four digits and can be traced
to records as being one of the earliest Merlins made
Light conditioning needed for seat (side scuff leather bond nds. glue, you may wanna remove tape/handlebar tape-I have unused cork type, etc). All extra parts included from previous owner (includes two older Shimano identical shifters in nd. of refab.)
