In that condition, for an entry-level Trek, anything over $60 is too much IMO. If it was in better physical condition, $90. If cleaned up and ready-to-ride, $120 maybe.
The mid-late 80s Elance 300 and 400 models came out of Asia, and while some (all?) used Reynolds tubing, the stock non-Reynolds fork could be considered fairly heavy to some.

I've been using the Mountech derailleurs on my touring bike with no issues, and it shifts clean and quick, in fact it works way better than my XT derailleurs on my mountain bike, so what's the problem?
I just remembered, at least I think I do, didn't those bikes come with Shimano derailleurs? perhaps the Deerhead model?

I asked and seller mentioned that he changed to Mountech because he felt they shifted better than the original Shimanos. I also complained that price was too high, and he has lowered the price to $390. I love these Bridgestones and the Bay Area market is hot. What would be fair price - $350? The RB-1s are listed at 700 on CL here.
I'd recommend this Univega Gran Rally instead. Champion frame, Shimano 600. Good starting condition.

I agree, that particular year used the Tange 2 tubeset which was a really nice tubeset that was raved for riding quality, and even though it uses mid level components the 105 SIS stuff works better than even Dura Ace STI works today in regards to speed of the shift and reliability. Can't tell what condition it's in from the photos but if it's in good shape to better then I hope someone rushes to get that bike, they are now just starting to become collectible so grab this one before the prices go up to much.
