Need help IDing a vintage Gan Well Pro

Well since I moved to Thailand, I needed a new bike.
I found this old road bike at one of those motor chop shops who import stuff from HK.
I picked it out because it was fairly light and it was a decent price.
Has anyone even heard of or seen a Gan Well road bike? I just want to figure out the year at least.

The frame is steel, but not lugged. Fork seems to be filet brazed.
Came equipped with Shimano Exage 300EX components, (no bio-pace here sorry)
Shimano SIS shifters, Kalin seatpost & stem, Viscount saddle, and Sakae Ringyu hubs laced to Araya 700c.
There is only one serial, U94U26019, located on the headtube. Strange.

Any thoughts?

Gan Well was a noted Japanese manufacturer of Keirin frames, which usually appeared under the Gan Well Pro brand. The serial number would appear to place it the last quarter of 1994, making it a 1995 model, which is the correct timeframe for 300EX.

Ah that was what I was thinking.
But I wasn't sure if the 300EX set was still made past 1991.

Anyone have anymore info? Before I tear it down and repaint it.

300EX was in production from 1990-1999, inclusive. You can verify the model year by checking the two letter codes on the back of most components, against the info on the components page of the Vintage-Trek website. Just remember that the components may have been in stock for a while before they got installed, so most may be from early to mid 1994, possibly even back into 1993.
