Older Trek 520 -- Some Questions

I am considering buying a 1991 Trek 520 and have a few question for you more knowledgeable folks. The bike is 3 hours away so want to get some opinions before I drive up there.

I currently ride a Trek 7100 in 17.5 inch size. The seller tells me the 520 is a 17 inch. Browsing the web, I have some concern that a 17 inch 520 might be considerably smaller than my 17.5 inch 7100. Any thoughts on that?

The seller says the bike is in good shape and has been well maintained. Of course, they all say that but the pictures seem to bear that out. He has been trying to sell the bike for about a month and hasn't even had anyone look at it. He was asking $450 for it but said in an email this morning if I would drive all the way he would sell it to me for $350. That certainly seems to be a fair price but solicit your opinion on that also.

I think a 17" 520 would be quite a bit too small if you ride a 17" 7100.

A 520 in a 17" frame size would be tiny.

That bike is a horizontal TT. That size is for a 5 foot (or smaller) rider.
