I responded to a vague ad on Dallas CL the other night for a "an old girl bike from the 1960s". There was no pic. They were asking $40, and I wanted to strip some wheels off an old woman's bike for a men's Columbia I am trying to rebuild. When I got there, I found this 1965 Schwinn Hollywood that had been "restored" from the ground up. Those Schwinn logos are hand-painted. I was pretty shocked...the woman's father had taken her childhood bike and had it rebuilt completely. The tires are brand new! I'm actually in the market for a nice vintage white seat for it (the springs are shot), and some nice white grips that aren't yellowed.
