Merckx corsa extra bb and headset question

Hello

I just purchased a nice eddy frameset. Looks to me like middle 80's. Certainly no Kessels. Sad thing is the bottom bracket and the headset are ugly. What do i need to look for now to replace them? Do Merckx frames use british or french or italian threading? The thing is i don't have the frame yet... thought i'd economically use shipping time for buying all extras.

Thanks!

9 out of 10 it will be Italian, though there are the stray English threaded frames out there.

I would be curious to see these 'ugly' components too. not to mention the EM. the BB should be somewhat easy just make sure your spindle is right for your crankset. the headset could be tricky. if the 'ugly' HS has a short stack heigh and the fork was cut for it you might have trouble replacing it.
