Vintage Cannondale Fitment
After about 6 months, I finally found my dream bike on a site, a 1990 Cannondale Criterium Road Bike.
However, the size is a 54cm. Since I am meeting the seller on Wednesday, I was not able to try the bike yet. I was just wondering if this bike would be too big for a person who is 5'6" with a 30" inseam. It almost seems too big, but I heard that the older Cannondales run small. Is this true?
The Cannondale has a 55cm top tube. I have ridden a bike with a 54.5cm top tube, so my mind would say, would 1cm really matter? Can't I compensate with a shorter stem?
Thanks!

I am 5'6 with a 30.5" inseam. I would find it too small, but I'm nuts and have long arms.
I'd say it will fit fine.
The 1cm "oversquare" is no biggie. Stems and saddles give more than enough range.
