Team Miyata Close-Ups cir. 1982

Hey there. Does anyone have any close-up pictures of period correct components for a 1982 Team Miyata? Shifters, derailleurs, wheel sets, seat post, brakes, stem? I am trying to restore my Miyata but some times the offerings are iffy so pics for cross referencing would be great! Thanks for any help.

I got mine as a frame and fork alone and fitted what I wanted. I had a full Mavic SSC groupe fitted.

When you're searching, it's best confirm the model numbers:

Headset: HP-7200
Stem: HS-7300
Brake Calipers: BR7200/BR7210
Brake levers: BL-7200
Shifters: SL-7210
Front derailleur: FD-7200
rear derailleur: RD-7200
Hubs: FH-7260
Crankset: FC-7300
Bottom Bracket : BB-7500
Pedals: PD-7300
Seat post: SP-7300

7200 series parts are Dura-Ace EX while 7300 series parts are Dura-Ace AX. For all intents nd puprposes, the listed AX parts are the same as the EX versions, except for the names on them, so if you can't find AX, substitute EX.

The 7210 calipers have 39-49mm reach while the 7210 have 47-57mm reach. I imagine the frame uses the former. but you should measure to confirm.

Best pic source is search Velobase using brand/model and/or part number. Good Luck.

Thanks for the tips. I did check out velospace but there are some inconsistencies. I have two presumed 1982 dura ace rear derailleurs but they have different bridges. See photos below.

I was hoping someone might have an original 1982 team miyata pics so I didn't buy some repaired who-knows-what. The photocopied miyata catalog helps but not with the details and I heard somewhere that the model like ex-7200 pre-1983 or so were not stamped anywhere. The derailleurs I have don't show part numbers.

I'll keep looking.
