I'll be in Santa Barbara for a month... anyone want to ride with me?

So I have an out of town work project that will take me to Santa Barbara for 6 weeks and I just packed up Sheldon's faithful Competition "Superbe" for the trip. Light riding at night and weekends to take in the scenery before heading over to Elsies for a drink.

Anybody here from there? Take me for a ride.

I have visited Santa Barbara and rode while I was there.

Try Gibraltar Rd.

or Foothill Rd over to Camarillo.

Bring your low gears

Those front gears look like they were made for hills (what the hey are they? 32-42?) but, that bike would probably ride about 10 yards on the sand before you call it quits

What... Cleveland wasn't enough already?

Now that I see that you have Sheldon Brown's old bike... maybe I need to head to Chicago...

That's funny... I rode about 10 miles in the wet sand along the cliffs today. Second gear all the way and barely had a workout.

Then I took the hills back to the hotel, that was a workout, but I hit a yard sale on the way and picked up a beautiful Team LeMond for a song.

It's good to be me!file:
