Purchase potential

First off, I have no pics. Second, I found 2 potential bikes to add to my "collection". #1 is a grey Fuji Royale, w/ araya quick release rims/hubs, nitto bars and stem, I forget what derailur it has and the cranks have Fuji is large letters on the arm. The guy is asking $100 for the bike (more than I want to spend) but it is a Large frame size (24.5" center of steerer to center of seat tube) and the wheels are re-spoked and trued. #2 is a white Peugot w/ full fenders (chrome is really good), generator w/ lights (rear light is missing), cottered cranks, steel rims w/ a strange textured pattern in on the braking surface. The peugot rides fine (cables DO need some adjusting). It looks like it was in someones living room for the last 30 years or so. He's asking $65 for the Peugot. Also he is interested in my schwinn traveler as a trade (btwn $25 and $35 sight unseen). What should I do?

https://www.classicfuji.com/1979_10_Royale_Page.htm Pretty much what the Fuji looks like.
I have room to breath and stretch out on the Fuji. The Peugot is comfortable, but it wouldn't be as great for a long ride. If the Peugot wasn't so damn cool looking, I would just take the Fuji....

Bikes: Was Fuji and got my grails (Pro, Pro SR, Design Series, & Ti). Now I hunt 50's and older road bikes.

I would probably wait. The riding season won't last much longer and you will have time to look around for something that really calls to you. I would think that you should be able to get a decent bargain during the winter.

If you are really impatient, buy the Fuji if it fits.

24.5 from steerer to seat tube? that sounds like a big bike
