Amazing condition. I've never seen a hide from 1971 so well preserved

Well... it's worth the 250.00 since you don't have to buy twenty dollar cans of proofide. 4 dollars worth of armour all should take care of it

Hilarious. That looks like an unmarked version of Schwinn's rubber thingamabobs used on the Varsities and Continentals.

Agreed. Hasn't Brooks always stamped the sides of their saddles?

He describes his business practices in the ad as a "Little misperfection on side."

I'd just like to take a moment to caution all you pretenders and wannabes - the SF Bay Area is THE hotbed of CL kooks, so don't even think about competing. You may come close here and there, but we win on volume and price in any case.

Sing it, Brother!

I'm a native San Franciscan, and thought I was immune when I moved back to the Bay Area 3 years ago...not so. It's nuttier than ever.

Take a reasonable price for a cycling item, and add $25 to $200 "flake tax", then you're at typical SF Bay Area CL asking prices.

And you thought we were just ridiculous with our housing costs.....
