no, it's a repaint. I'm hoping that the wrinkles on the seatstay ends are due to light reflections. Could be old paint underneath though.

You are correct sir! 1971 paramount track frame and fork.
I don't have possession of it yet.
Old Schwinn catalogs state they were available in all the schwinn colors, what were all the schwinn colors?
I know kool lemon, campus green, sky blue...?

Captain Kangaroo was a kid's show in the '60s, maybe 'till the early '70s. Schwinn was the Sponcer and every show he'd roll out and tout Schwinn. I recall giveaways sometimes. Other caharaters were on the show with him; puppets, a clock that talked, humans too.
In Belgium it was called Kapitein Kangoeroe as I recall and they gave away Merckx MX Leaders
