Question about a computer
I just bought a 1987 Panasonic DX-3000. I am looking for a computer from the era. I had one forever ago with cadence, but can't remember what it was. I'll be searching ebay for something original or heading to the LBS for a wired model if that doesn't work. Any suggestions?

I think I have a wired computer with cadence at home that came off a late 80's bike. You can have it if you want. The battery is dead, but I can test it with another battery. Mailing in a padded envelope can't be more than a dollar or two.

I have a couple of old computers and speedometers tucked away. Not exactly sure what vintages they represent nor if they work of not. Bit I did save one or two. Now if I can just remember where I stashed them???

Most popular computer with cadence during this era was the Cateye Micro.

In 1985 I had a computer called "The Push" that had cadence - it was a larger rectangular shape and had to mount on the stem. The name was part of the marketing, i.e. when you had one you naturally pushed and rode harder (alas, it didn't work for me as I never got above Cat 4). The Avocet two button cyclometer pretty much ruled the non-cadence world for the same period.
