Spotted both if these today. I know the owner of the Marinoni. I think the GT is abandoned.

Saw this Ace on a recent trip to Charleston, SC. Lots of nice mid-tier C&V in Charleston.

It's nothing that special but I like the build - especially the mismatched bar tape.

I had a similar problem: While on my daily ride during a recent vacation I had to pass through a playground on my way to the bike path I follow. Parents were pulling their small children closer a I passed.

Oh yes! A very nice 60s Raleigh Superb frequents the bike path. Sorry, no pictures.

Just saw all of these during a quick walk around the block.

A nice Gios

A beat up celeste Bianchi with Super Record and chrome seat stay caps and fork crown.

And last but not least, check out the custom PVC rack and DIY cardboard chain guard.

The bike-spotting in Italy is fun, but the cycling is better, see: https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vi...l#post16757299
Spotted this month,

A police bike in Milan;

Some wool jerseys;

A dual downtube titanium Colnago with Record;

Bike share in Milan;

In Toronto for 4 days and this was the first bike I saw. Raleigh Pro track. It's vintage bike insanity in that city.

De Benardi must have had local distributorship - I see a lot of them in town.

When I came back to leave this one was parked behind it - I like the build:

^That's a cool De Bernardi pista. I just don't like to see such nice bikes being subjected to potential dents, not to mention excessive paint damage.

Here's one we don't see stateside much, if at all.

I went out for a ride on the rail trail today, beautiful day with lots of people out riding. At a little coffee shop where people like to rest I spotted this cool 70's Gitane Professional Tour De France in the bike rack.

I was at a vintage bike jumble today, and outside I spotted this Vittorio randonneur. The owner walked up as I was taking this picture, and we had a nice chat. It appeared he likes to ride brevets, and implied the bike might actually be for sale. I did not dare ask his price. I was afraid it might actually be very reasonable, and I'd just spent quite a bit of money on parts ...

Neal,

Re: the red Dawes Super Lightning - appreciate it's a long time ago and a bike you saw on the street in a foreign (to you) city - but; is that a 531 main tubes decal on the DT? (Interested as I have a similar but smaller frame of the same model with missing decals in need of new paint. It would be good to get it right :-) Thanks, Stuart

Oh, yeah, definitely it had a 531 transfer on the downtube; that's likely what caught my eye in the first place, and likely 3-main tubes straight gauge based on that transfer design. Stuart, perhaps that Dawes is still locked to that pole in London some five-and-a-half years later!

I do too - a lot. Looks like it was either stripped of paint or never painted. No derailleur hanger (sorry, no photos). No braze ons. Serial number on the seatstay, nds.
