Crank puller for old TA crank?
I bought an old Sports Tourer frame that has a set of TA cranks. Where can I get a puller for this crank set? All the ones I see on the Park web site are the smaller size that fi Japanese and Campy style cranks.
I'd post a photo but sadly, I can't figure out how

Older Stronglight and TA cranks share many specs so a Stronglight puller might work with your cranks.
Stronglight pullers (made by Stronglight come up at eBay regularly for resonalble prices.
Park made the CCP-1 crank puller (with the blue handle) that I used on my Stronglight cranks. I have not seen them in the LBS lately though, so they could have been phased out from production already by the tool maker, but you might be able to still find them in smaller shops that have them buried in dark corners of their stock rooms.
I recently lucked out when I had my LBS dug up a Park FR-2 freewheel key to fit my Malliard/Spidel 700 freewheels from their back room. Lost my old one after many moves. Kinda gives you an idea on how you will have to dig around a little bit to find these older French spec tools these days.

I'd lend you the old Park that I've had since the 80s that has two different size pullers on it if I wasn't in LA this week. I don't think I've ever used the larger side. Back to the NW burbs on Saturday

Do not use a Stronglight puller on a T.A. crank!
The Park CCP-1 has been out of production for years.
My LBS has both the T.A. and Stronglight pullers, but they charge $10 to pull a crank. I ended up buying both, but before they got quite so expensive.

If you can find one of the old double-ended Park crank pullers it will work on your TA arms, as one side is 22.0 x 1.0 and the other is 23.0 x 1.0.

Death fork? Naaaah!!
There was a poster here that had several of the double-sided threaded bushings from the old CCP-1. can't recall his name offhand, or even if I paid him for the one he sent me. Better check my back PMs......

The LBS I always ***** about has one and he's only charging $8 to pull them. Best part was the young whipper-snapper on the phone that insisited there's only one size. He finally asked the owner and came back to report, "Yes, we have a TA crank remover." Someone has to edumacate the yutes!

No; Stronglight pullers are 23.35mm x 1.0mm while TA pullers are 23.0mm x 1.0mm. A Stronglight puller is too large to fit a TA arm and while a TA puller will thread into a Stronglight arm, it will usually strip the threads once you start to put some force on it.
If you can find one of the old double-ended Park crank pullers it will work on your TA arms, as one side is 22.0 x 1.0 and the other is 23.0 x 1.0.

Did TA make thier own puller as Stronglight did (and included in their crankset packages)?

My T.A. puller has the company logo on it. I wouldn't know if they included a puller with their cranks. I've never bought a new crank.

I remember we had VAR TA and VAR Stronglight pullers back in the day.
Stopped by at lunch, owner was real nice guy, he might even have a few leftover Super Sport/Sports Tourer forks...shame on me for not stopping in more often. Cranks are off, they're going on the 'bay.

Too flexible for me and I want 175mm cranks, not 170mm. I''ve got a set of Shimano single speed cranks coming, to drive a Sturmey 5 speed with drum brake...I just like these old hand brazed Schwinn frames. This one was without wheels, pedals, seat and derallieurs, to return it to stock would cost more than it's worth. So I get to make it into what I want without any guilt for killing a classic.
