1988 schwinn traveler spec questions
just picked up a 1988 schwinn traveler frame/fork, included was an old bottom bracket, a 10 pound seatpost and a cheap looking worn out headset (plastic on top nut).
anyway i'm looking to put it back on the road, first up i want to replace the headset. what crown race size am i looking for? 26.4 or 27?
also, the sakae stem doesn't seem to have any size markings. diameter should be 22.2, not the oddball 21.1 of older schwinns right? i also have a 1973 letour and the traveler stem doesn't even come close to fitting inside the letour fork.
seat post is 26.6?
thanks in advance

shnibop, did you ever get any responses to your questions? I want to raise height of my handlebars on my traveler. And was wondering same question as you, I've seen replaceable quill stem threaded headsets at Nashbar and other places, but I do not know if I should buy 22.2 mm or 25.4 mm ? based on what i can read about 22.2 mm is for 1 inch forks and 25.4 mm is for 1 1/8 inch forks? see close up of markings on my headset stem.
