campagnolo downtube shifters

done a bit of research and i think that they are record synchro 3?
mid 90's.
just need to sell them and i want an accurate description as possible.
they are indexed or friction - 8 speed i think

Not the best pic but definetly synchros. 8 speed are pretty desirable, be sure to confirm that they are before you sell them. you can't tell the # of speed just by looking at these, as it is determined by a cam ring inside the shifter (so you could just change the ring, not the whole shifter, when changing to a different # of rear cogs.)

i'll swap the cam ring and count the number of clicks tomorrow...

no they are currently sitting on the nuovo record. gonna get some ergo's so these will be surplus and i'm trying to cut down on my amount of "it'll be useful one day" bits

There may be more than one 8-sp cam ring, just as there is more than one 7-sp and 6-sp. They all match up with certain RD's and cassettes.
There are charts out there to help.

My guess is that 8-sp = 8-sp period, as the part number for the cam ring on the 1st gen 8-sp ergos is the same as that for the DT shifters.
