first ride of 2010 (pics)
well, at least the roads are clear and it's almost 40°F!
out for a spin on the fixed-gear
trying to remember how to steer this thing!
unfortunately, the roads are salt-crusted
fixed-gear fun!
el fin!

Nice. I went out Sunday for the first time this year also. Really noticed my lack of fitness. Good thing was I didnt get cold. Dressed just right.
35 degrees in Chicago Sunday with a light mist falling. Its about the best weather we've had to this point. Rode my vintage Gitane Grand Sport Deluxe(love that name for a low end machine).
The roads are bad. Not as bad as last year but they are still bad. The Gitane seems to absorb a lot of the bumps. It will probably be my ride of choice till the really warm weather gets here, like in June!

hmm I Rode to the Motorcycle show in Rosemont, so really it was two twenty mile rides with a two hour break in between. I'm not sure if that counts as a 40 mile ride, but certainly a 40 mile day!
