I love the end result as well. Great red accents. Is this why you ended up not using the Ofmega Mistral Maglia Rosa derailleur?

Sadly the Ofmega derailleur went on another Gitane I sold (and deeply regret selling) a few years back when I needed the money. Here is a pic of it mounted for posterity's sake:
