Raleigh Super Course
Found a slide (transparency) I took when this Super Course was purchased new in early 1978. Changed a few components to Campagnolo and then traded it for a Sabatini Record (second picture). Both photographs from 1978. I think the Raleigh had less than 100 mikes before I traded it in, the idea being I was starting to invest more into the bike than it was really worth. Below the Raleigh is how the Sabatini looks currently. 32 years and a lot of miles later.

Very cool pics of two very nice bikes. I would have said keep the Raleigh...but you've been riding the Sabatini for >30 years so I think you made the right choice!

Those things look so pretty when they're shiny. Maybe someday I'll have a shiny one.

Great bikes (and I think that you made the right choice on the trade). Is that Super Record on the Sabatini? Also, do you remember what that original red saddle was? Was it a Unicanotor?

They are both gorgeous bikes and that Sabatini does not owe you a thing - I have to say though that I have a slight SC bias ( And (3) of them sitting in my garage.)
PS Welcome to BF - and you made a memorable 1st post with those pics, let me tell you!
