My third and Best della santa purchase in a year

Just picked this one up last week from a very nice guy. He said he bought this back in the 90s and had this custom paint job done to his specs. he bought it new and was measured for it from della santa. just happens to be my size 54.5 cm cc. rides like a dream. i have two other della santas but this is my favorite. made of oversize coumbus and he upgraded the dura ace with the titanium kit. it had a matching red time carbon fork which was a little lighter but i just thought the original fork just "blew it away" as far a looks go.

Sweet catch, my friend! I'm glad that you found one that is your cup of tea. The black 59cm one you had has been driving me crazy every time I've seen you post it in the trade ad. I just wished I had something you wanted in exchange.

well, i do still have the black della santa. too big for me but in near mint condition. the person i bought this one from was interested in my black one for his tall friend and has a green della santa in my size but it has dura ace and my black one is campy record 8 speed which i feel is a better group so im not sure about an equal trade but ..never know. this red and white one is my favorite however. in fact, today im going up to see della santa and im going to show him this bike and pick up some water bottles and stuff which will look great on the bike

well he's in reno nevada, not far from down town. just got back today. he had some incredible anniversary bikes hanging up that he just built. he's only making 20 of these and he's using old/new stock nervex lugs. he already has an order for 8. only 12 left. he's also the nicest, down to earth guy around and has more stories about cycling than i could imagine. i showed him my bike and he really was impressed. he said he usually never gets to see the finished bike as they go right to the owner after they've been painted
