What day is today? I definitely would have gone for the Huffy. If you are really lucky, they may have a Roadmaster. Those Roadmasters are really sweet.

Think you made the right choice there Joe. Your neighbour's bike is one of those old foreign bikes that are hard to find parts for - and without even a kick stand and on those skinny tyres it'll fall over sooner or later and get broken. I think you made a wise choice. I'd say more but I've got to go now (got to visit your neighbour with $76 in my pocket).

Say, Joe, do you have the phone number for the fellow who has this less-then-desirable blue bike?

$50 is a considerable amount of money in this economy. Would your neighbor (Mr. Mario Confente?) possibly take $25? I just purchased the bicycle below for $25, since it was old and had been lying around unused for about 40 years. I think a guy named Rene Herse once owned it. It has his name written on it, kind of like how my dear old mom used to put my name in the collars of my shirts when I went to summer camp. Anyway, Huffy is a well known manufacturer, and their bikes are very popular. Best of all, by purchasing a bicycle at the Salvation Army you would help provide them with money needed to help others. Tough decision. Good luck with it!

Mr. Englert,
I am pleased that you decided on purchasing the Huffy. The other bicycle looked to be made of parts brought in from foreign countries, which can be costly when you take it in to the repair shop to get it fixed. Why would you consider parting with such a majestic piece of machinery so quickly? Huffy bicycles are magnicently handcrafted by skilled artisans. Don't forget that you also laid out funds to puchase a kickstand, an expensive component that can help prevent it from falling and becoming damaged. Anyway, after laying out $25 for that other bike (the Rene Herse), I only have about $20 left to add on top of the Rene Herse itself. I probably should keep this negotiating quiet, so as not to start a bidding war for your Huffy.
- C.H.

Joe just wanted it for a Huffy toss, who would want to toss a Confente? Just does not have a good ring to it.

you know that's really strange,
I saw this yesterday and I obviously passed on it since it didn't even have breaks let alone
a kickstand.

And here I thought you were going to show us that light green ebay bike from some time ago where a guy had plastered a number of Confente transfers on a no name bike, made it a fixed gear and was selling it as a Confente.
