Bianchi Veloce

So I came across a CL ad for a steel-frame Bianchi Veloce with Campy Veloce shifters, brake calipers (set), crankset (39t-ring), and wheel set for $200. The fork is not included, and they say that while everything is solid, the frame is in need of cosmetic attention.

Would it be worth the buy? Granted it is a steel-frame, any guesses on how old it may be? I'm thinking it's worth it, myself.

Could be anywhere from '93 (possible a year or two earlier whenever ergo first showed up) to the present. Bikepedia's got it listed at least up to 2006 with a steel frame:

A missing fork and 'cosmetic' damage sends up some red flag for me. I'd want to be absolutely certain it was never crashed.

Because it appears a saddle, seatpost, bars, stem, maybe bottom bracket, chain, cables and housing aren't included, and you may need a new headset with a new fork, $200 isn't exactly a stellar deal for Veloce equipment (and likely some basic wheels), but it might be workable for you.

Unless it's this, which would make it a great deal!

As much to my excitement to head out & take a look at it this weekend, it had already been sold. But I agree about the red flags, regardless.
