NGC 450 cantilever brake, modern brake pad replacement?

Hi -
I recently started to put together an old Trek 720 with Gran Compe 450 brakes, but the brakes were missing the pads!
So, I got a set of Koolstop smooth stud cantilever pads, and the stud is way too big for what the NGC 450 takes. It seems like all cantilever pad studs are that size (too big)? What are my options now?

Do you still have the previous pad holders? Perhaps the pads were replaceable.

If you can measure the holes that the studs should fit thru, I'll check my old stash of holders and see if I have anything that will fit.
