GT Tequesta year??

I was on a nice Sunday morning ride and came across a GT Tequesta in somebody's trash. Cool triple traingle frame with Tange double butted MTB Cro-MO. Suntour xpress shifters, X-1 der. and XCE crank. Components seem mid to low end. I'm guessing late 80's? Frame has horizontal dropouts with rack and fender brazaeons. Dropouts are forged. Pretty nice frame. Gotta love the sky blue and white swirl. Is the rear brake a U brake on the top of the stays instead of the bottom? Never saw anything like this. Brake cable is internally routed through the frame.

I've come across Trek and Specialized MTBs, with X-1, and XCE, both circa 91-92

I bought one in 91 with that group, so looks like early 90s is it. They had crazy paint jobs back then...
