Tires for Campagnolo rims
I have a pair of wheels with Campagnolo Omega Strada XL hardox clincher rims. They had Avocet 700 x 20c tires on them when I got them.
I have not found another tire that will fit. Every tire I've tried is too tight. I removed the rim strip and tube but still cannot get a tire on. Also tried to lube with soapy water.
Anyone know of a tire that might fit?

FWIW, the other impossible rim is the Abrosio Elite II's. I was able to get Gatorskins on those? (I cheated and used irons but it worked.) It's the type of tire you want to put on rims like these.

I had built a pair of wheels with these rims back in the mid 80s. The tires I used were Panaracer Technova in 700x25. I recall they went on with no trouble.
You may want to try an updated offering from Panaracer.

Kenda Kontenders seem to go on the easiest of anything I've used, lately.
I find the higher up the chain I go, the more difficult the tires are to get on certain rims, like Campy Vento's.
